thats fresh, im growing my hair out for the same thing, i got a question though.. when you start out dreads, they look super skinny, do they get fatter over time ?

I have a question

How long did it take your locks to completely get to their actual thickness?

Ive had mine for about 3 months now and i have really thick hair

I only have maybe 60-70 locks so i know theyre going to be thick. theyre already completely locked pretty much but im waiting on them to thicken more

Your locks look good as hell though

Thats a good question, wen I started they were alot thiner, but as time went by and they started to mature they thickened up and looked more fuller, but I would say it took maybe about a year or so to thicken up like it is now

When I started I already had hair, and wen I twisted it, they were between 3-5 inches. Now most of them are between 10-13 inches. But I really didn't do nothin special bra they just grew. But some people say after 2 yrs ur dreads start takin off

1.Wat i'm sayin is I didn wash my hair for about 6 months because mines would unravel.  Now u can wash ur hair but u would be riskin it unraveling and u might not want to deal with that, so yes its probably a good idea to wait until they mature before washing, how long would it take to lock I don't know

2. Now after they lock u can wash them with shampoo they want come loose, and personally I get mine done every 2-3 months because I like alot of new growth, and I don't want my locs to thin

No i didn't use anything special to make them grow, I really don't think any product out there makes your hair grow any faster than it does but u can try them, and I usually where a stocking cap when I sleep
