  • 17 people are straight......... 1 is a homo

  • getting aftermarket keys is not a good idea it narrow the front track width...pulling the tires closer making the rear stick out more then the front and it looks like shit!

  • @paintballforlife06 just gotta put some spacer on the front

  • @realj4ck4ss fuck that they will just fuck up your wheel bearings and front end parts...not worth it just get a real lift i regret getting aftermarket keys

  • @paintballforlife06 i do understand where your getting but .... got 2 kid to feed and a wife to convince , i'm really considering this 2 inch rough country and the 1 inch and a half zone body lift wich would cost way below the 6 inch suspention... but dont get me wrong i understand your points but , money is the issue usually for people ,

  • @realj4ck4ss you can always get a body lift gap guards and n fabs to cover frame it would be better in the long run..im going to get a 3 inch body lift and take out my shitty "leveling" kit

  • i have an 06 silverado shortbed regular cab 2wd manual tranny. i was looking into leveling mine. a company does a 2.5 leveling kit for 110 bucks. is that a good deal?? also will i need aftermarket shocks??

  • very sharp truck. i like this look a LOT better than a 6 inch lift on 35s. you have NO fender gap, which makes the truck look right. how's the ride quality after this lift?

  • Ima guy, and that people is a sexy truck.

  • what version of that song is that?

  • @jesusfreakdj colt ford and brantley gilbert

  • @sokodad look at the ecryption code in the left bottom side of the trucks windshield glass the 8th letter is a z all z71 trucks have it ive checked it but yea your right in alot of things i agree 100 % with you fords suck lol

  • did you have your stock torsion bars tightened before you got the new keys? whats the differece between the two? more lift, better ride?

  • @crow1419 i have a ready lift "leveling kit", i gained 3" from stock and the new keys r turned all the way down, the ride is softer than stock, because of the keys being turned down thus minimal tension on the a-arms. I used to have the stock keys cranked and it was a stiff! For the rear i replaced the factory blocks (2 1/4") with 2 1/2" readylift block, an added a factory leaf, giving me about 2 inches lift overall. Sorry i wrote so much but i figured all tricks out the hard way lol!

  • @MrKanklekiller187 which kit did you get? cuz the only one i see on their website is a 2inch levling kit?

  • @kyle91chevy1 u r rite, its the leveling kit. No exaggerations tho, sittin 3 inches higher than it used to, and another 2 inches cause of tires. i parked my pickup next to a couple stock ones and the bottom of my mirror is at the top of theirs. I was amazed how much u can get out of the keys, i can pull more than 3 inches. Its pry about 2 inches from the factory bars cranked. But 3 from where stock setting was at

  • @MrKanklekiller187 cool and you didnt have to crank the bars up after you got the new keys?

  • @kyle91chevy1 no sir, best way i can describe it is it sits exactly like a 3/4 ton with its bars cranked. keys arent turned up, sits higher, and it has a soft ride. if u drop me ur email i will send u pics of wut it looks like if ud like

  • could you tell me were you got your leveling kit? also do those 315s rub at all?? 315=35 right?? you truck looks soo sick! love it

  • @Nikogmario55 it is a rough country leveling kit...i bought it directly from rough country. it was $189.95 plus shipping. the tires did rub slightly at full lock but thats all. and 315 is a 34.5 inch tall tire. and thanks man.

  • @JCarter140 Can I have ur truck?

  • @1waffleiron dude z71 is 4x4. z71 its the encryption code on the chevy for 4x4

  • @Trx450rallday no its not at all you dumbass, z71 is offroad package just like fords was fx4 and now is xtr they are supposedly upgraded skid plates but really its just a fucking sticker. the best for everyone is t peel them off when u buy ur truck because trucks look way better de badged.

  • @Trx450rallday Are you sure? Because if you have a pickup with Z71 package the badging just says 4x4. I do believe it's code for a package that includes skid plates, heavier leaf springs, heavier duty shocks, etc. Not sure what else. At least that's what I've learned.

  • @sokodad I meant to say a pickup without Z71 package. Sorry, typo.

  • @1waffleiron really? lol

  • Love that trucks stile! that truck looks sick. I have a 05 silverado 2wd im trying to give it that same exact straight look like yours. i put a 2" front leveling kit and it looks alot better but not exactly how i wanted it to be. how do i get it to look like yours nice and level? do i go with the front 3" spacer and 1" rear block?will that give it that tall level look? Thanks in advanced!

  • does that rub at all and how does it ride?

  • Do those 35s not rub like crazy? i have 315 bfg KM2's on my z71 tahoe, it has ford keys, 2 inch spacers in the rear and mine rubbed like crazy, i had to trim a lot of plastic and they still rub when it flexes

  • Looks good man! I got the same kit from RC for my 03 Chevy but I bought 5" blocks from them to get another inch.

  • Dang nice truck! I have the same thing except mines a 05 I was thinking about putting the same rough country kit you put on, how do you like it? And do you have any complaints about it?

  • @kevin6244 I have the same kit on my 03 Chevy and it is a great kit. My advice is to order a steering stabilizer too cause after a year of having mine on I noticed alot of play in the front axel. I noticed the tie rod ends and ball joints are going out so I replaced both and added a steering stabilizer. But then again I ordered 5" blocks from RC to replace the 4" block that comes in the kit so I had to jack up the keys to level it out. Everything has been fine ever since, hope this helps.

  • looks sharp. Im a dodge fan but your truck looks sharp!!!

  • i'm about to put a RC leveling kit on mine too... got an 04 Z71. sounds like some ppl have already asked about front end probs, but that was 3 months ago.... from the looks of it you probly had to crank those keys pretty hard to get those 315s under there! any probs with CV joint boots ripping or wearing on you yet???

regardless- very slick truck. hopefully mine looks similar soon!

  • hey did you have to trim any on the bumper to fit those?

  • You have a total of 5" in the front?

3" from the lift and 2" from the keys?

  • @ironworker28 no its a 3 inch leveling kit 3 in the front one in the back the keys are the only thing giving him lift on the front.

  • @texasdude302 actually the rear block is 4", it replaces the stock 2" rear block to give a 2" lift to the back

  • You have 3.42 gears still or did you regear?

  • @Arkytoob my window sticker shows 3.73s from factory

  • Did you get the full leveling kit that was around 189.99 off rough country? I have an 2006 too, and im looking to do that same exact thing to mine

  • Beautiful truck. I'm fixing to order the full rc leveling kit but I haven't decided on a tire size. Did you regear for the 315's or get a programmer or just leave it stock? My stock gear is 3.73 and my worries were it bogging down or overheating the tranny but I bet if you haven't had trouble by now then you won't at all. Anyway, I hope mine turns out as well as yours.

  • What song is this?

  • @ContractKiller37 Dirt Road Anthem by Colt Ford ft Brantley Gilbert

  • When hey rub do they only rub the front bumber or do they rub behinde the tire also

  • @TruckinandHuntin they only rub to the rear at full lock. they dont rub in the front at all.

  • what MPG u gettin with 305s

  • @traison22 they are 315s and 16 city and 18 highway

  • love that truck i have the same rims on my extended cab! i am looking to do the same style setup just wondering though if you have had any front end problems as a result of the kit? thanks in advance

  • @kwklw none as of yet and i have about 4k miles so far.

  • nice set up, looks tough without being over done.

  • @94nightmare thanks!

  • Awesome truck, check mine out, love the song too, You from Georgia?

  • @ALLxTeRrAiN thanks man...no im in NC...

  • were the torsion keys easy to install?

  • @8320884 they arent hard to install at all with the right tools. i installed new torsion keys, new rear blocks, new u-bolts and 4 new shocks in about 3 hours taking my time.

  • @JCarter140 k thanks. and nice truck.

  • there was a small amount or rubbing so i just trimmed the front bumper a small amount...only where the plastic is. it does still rub some but only at full lock. so i just dont turn as hard as i could.

  • Do your tires rub,did you have to do any trimming?

  • @strykr53 the tires rub at full lock. i need to do a small amount of trimmin but just havent gotten around to it,

  • Well That Sweet Man!!! Nice Truck!!!

  • @ZachManZ71 thanks bro.

  • NICE!! does it ride better or worse and any change in fuel mpg with those tires

  • @ZachManZ71 maybe a mile less to the gallon at the most. ride isnt as smooth as factory but tis to be expected with these tires....however they are pretty smooth. alot better than i expected. you can def tell it has an aggresive tread from a dead stop to about 10mph but after that it smooths out and ride great!
