Give some citrus food (liquid fertilizer) and those leaves will come back to green. Also replant that thing into a bigger pot, with some serious potting mix, also keep the water up to the poor little thing as well as a seaweed based liquid fertilizer occasionally. Follow these rules and your new name will be "LEMON MAN".
I purchased a meyer lemon tree from a local nursey in April of this year. It had been cultivated to thrive in the climate of North Texas and currently has about 20 lemons on it. I was about convinced I had a Mexican lime tree instead. Picked one of the smaller fruit and it has seeds. Now, the limes we get here are seedless. So how long does it take for meyer lemons to turn yellow!!! some are large enough but are still green!
I started growing 4 meyer lemon trees from seeds in April 06.(by accident i just trew the seeds on the ground) In april 09
(3 yrs old) 1 of the trees gave fruit (20 lemons) the other 3 didnt even flower. This year, 2010, the same tree has flowers and is going to produce lemons (i hope) but 2 more trees are also growing flowers this year (4 yrs old)
The 4th tree looks like its going to sprout new leaves only. My trees are about 6-8 ft tall.Hope this helps.
may i ask what part of the country u live in? because i've had my tree 4yrs and it's only 4ft tall and do u use any special mix or fertilizer i grow mine in a large pot
I didnt use any fertilizer for the 1st 2 yrs. On the 3rd year i started using Miracle Grow fertilizer(powder that attaches to water hose). Im not sure whether that helped the 1st tree give fruit because the other 3 didnt even flower. I would apply every 3-4 weeks. Last fall (2009) I used HI-Yield Fertilizer 2 Types (Growers Special and Pecan & Fruit Fertilizer) This is a granule that is applied around the base of the tree then water. once a month.
The trees started out in pots for the first couple of months. When they reached about 3 ft i planted them in the ground with some compost made of leaves, grass, plant material, etc.
One thing that i noticed was that before each of the trees gave fruit, I think like half of the leafs turned yellow and fell off on each one of them. then as the new spouts came out the flowers also came out.
My trees roots go out about 2-4 ft from the trunk as far as the longest branch.
That can't be true because i picked 6 very large lemons off that tree this past October and i've only had the tree for three years BTW i'm commenting from my other page

I live in South Texas near Brownsville.

yellow leaves generally means it needs some nutrient it is missing. Get some good fertilizer on it, maybe citrus fertilizer if you can find it.
