@ironmanaldrich You forgot the most important fact about th G8: Pontiac had nothing to do with the car. The G8 is actually a re-badged Holden Commodore from Australia.
Actually, I just went to the G8 website to try and "build my own" and there is a G8 GXP trim with 415HP, 415 lb-ft torque with a 6 Speed Manual tranny... So im going to start looking into this car!
Lol, man I would end up kiling myself in that! Good luck, if you get it let me know how you likes the car...that is you don't end up going to the past ala Back to the Future with all that HP, 415 Damn :D
yea thats true but it sux for Canadian buyers cuz theres no gxp (manny tran) , only gt (auto tran) and i think this is the best affordable american car (when i say affordable i mean other stuff then corvette viper.....) also i need some help?? genesis coupe 3.8 v6 or the 2009 sti??? i dont want 370z cuz its too small for daily use thanks for your help
Wow, i didnt know that. Far as your question goes, in my honest opinion I would get the STI over the genesis coupe. They both have very similar performance figures, but the STI is turbocharged, everything else just seems like personal preference. A coupe or 5-door? AWD or RWD? The Genesis coupe is prettier but the STI is the true workhorse. According to Edmunds, the STI hits a 0-60 in 5.4secs, the Genesis coupe 3.8 track, 6.4secs. But test drive both and find out what you are comfortable w/
@pascey87 Mecknight73 is right. The Holden is an Australian car and engine. They have had the Holden SS in other parts of the world for a long time and this car and engine looks very similar.
@twenty514 IMO the G8 GXP is overpriced. The few upgrades it has(little bit bigger V8, FE3 Suspension, Brembo brakes etc) can be matched with ease and a lot cheaper then 40K+ they are charging for it. Get a GT and mod you will be faster then the GXP in no time, against a stock one that is.
@twenty514 You should look into its parent car while you're at it, the VE Holden Commodore. No, Pontiac didn't build it themselves, just like they didn't build the recent GTO coupe. Also, look up "VE HSV Club Sport R8." HSV is the performance wing of Holden, and if you want to see this car in its native form, this is it.
It was not a dig, but we are both in a similar industry. If you are local to Washington DC, I would welcome a joint effort, perhaps learn from one another??
We all love car reviews, however don't sound like you are reading off a piece of paper, upgrade your microphone and don't just do voice overs. You have great information, don't let it get lost with entry level editing...keep at it!
Sorry you didn't like it. I share my car reviews with others and receive zero money for my efforts. I do it for fun. I know better equipment would make better quality videos. I would love to have a better mic, but my video camera doesn't except an outside mic. As for my voice over guy......he does the best he can. By the way, would you like to donate some money to upgrade my equipment?
