John Gorka is one of my favorite alternative artists and the CD I own, Jack's Crows is just phenomenal. John Gorka performs material about regular folks and in the economic downturn, some of his selections are more authentic. John's lyrics are special and one of a kind. If you get a chance, going out to see John Gorka is an experience.
I heard you're from Pennsylvania, but that doesn't really rhyme, does it? lol. And your eyes either look drugged out or VERY tired... Take it easy, whatever you're doin', man.
Gave up my Long Beach, Ca. Apt to have enough $ to travel to NJ for a nice homecoming. When got back to Calie I had no place to stay, so I slept in my car for 2months, at the Belmont Beach Pking. in LB, Ca.One night I found the Upsala Radio Station on my car radio. And they played this song. I had forgotten all about it until tonight while reviewing my journal and found the notes from that night. So I looked up the song, There was no YouTube in 8.14.1997. Yeah I'm from NJ too Love the NJ
Listening to this, I want to go back 20 years, to Ithaca, NY: John Gorka, in solo concert; no amplification, so he just stood on the edge of the stage and sang loud. Truly brilliant.
I'm from New Jersey. WOODBRIDGE!!! I miss New Jersey. You can take the girl out of Jersey, but not the Jersey out of the girl. Jersey rules!!!! God Bless New Jersey!!!
This is insane. I grew up in Mullica hill and lived in Winnsboro for three years. I was damn proud to be from Jersey and they despised me and my family. It's a funny song but we are strong, smart and actually have a head on our shoulders. Winnsboro put us through hell. Careful New Jerseyans. If you show state pride other than texas pride they'll be sure to chastise you for it.
Grew up in Cherry Hill. Met him at the Philly Folk Festival back in 1992. Very nice guy. Signed a cassette for me. A friend of mine got me hooked on his music.
Precisely, born and raised in Hamilton Twshp.(Hamilton Square) suburb of Trenton. Great place to grow up...walked to Hamilton Square School and was never afraid ...went to St. Anthony High with all those Italian girls with big hair.
hey, there are no tolls on the parkway!!!
