  • video shot from 133 SOUTH 4TH St atop the Hotel Elkton looking SW toward Hannibal...I greatly doubt there was a tornado from the cloud type it came from...NWS STL says it looks like a concentrated rain band...the REAL offender was off to the left..and that was the MICROBURST i shoulda documented...Recorded a wind gust of 64mph at 2:32pm and relayed to NWS LSX...shook the 5 story building i was in and broke several windows.

  • I remember that storm. Across the street from my house, it ripped a tree out of the ground, even though no tornado was spotted from it. Crazy.

  • Great video! I have pictures of the damage afterwards that I took when I drove around - especially the oak tree that went down next to the courthouse. Where were you standing?

  • ahh i remember when i woke up the thunder was so loud then in the early noon it stopped then another storm came at noon then it cleared up again
