Ethos = manipulate dump people

Pathos = manipulate normal people (average iq, cuz emotionals works always)

Logos = manipulate smart people

ethos is used in policy, pathos in hollywood and logos in science xD

of course you can connect all 3 things and say:

"spinach make you healthy like barney, and your mother would be sad if you become ill" or something like that xD

Of course! Ethos depends on establishing one's credibility/reputation. For example, if you were trying to give a little boy football advice you may use ethos by saying, "Colt McCoy said, 'In the last five minutes of a tied game you should always run a Hail Mary." A tip from Colt McCoy about football would be more credible than a tip from his father who never played football.
