what's the use of an assault rifle, which jolts and misses the target just after a single press to the trigger , keeping much more modern enemies in mind INSAS makers shall make a 'lazer accurate' assault rifles, yes accuracy is the top priority of special forces of any country! why dont you ask the special forces commandos or active soldiers, what kind of weapon they want , what's their OPINION???? I am sure they can difine an 'Assault rifle' better than any lazy weapon engineer !!!
bibhav next time you shooting , lean into the gun , aim thro the front site , get you right shoulder ( if you are righ handed ) with align to ur neck or adujust it till you feel the gun has stopped kicking , the sign for perfect alighment is , you wont feel a single kick .i didnt knew india was still producing them . what happend to insas or the aks are just for special ops ?
@arslankhan12 Thanks. Both the AK and Insas are in operation in India. The standard issue for the army however is the INSAS now. Spec ops AKs are used as well.
then you are a fool. There would not be so many countries and groups of people using the Ak-47 if it wasnt the best. not to mention its cheap. You also seem to be under the impression that bank robbers and thugs carry AK-47s. That too is foolish and shows that you know very little about what happens outside of your own bubble. Thugs STEAL guns. They dont buy them. Half of them cant because they are felons. Most crimes are commited with what is at hand or what they could get easily
did you see how much RECOIL that thing had,the M16 is ALOT better at accuracy, thats what matters the most in a battle field(that and reliability, the only reason the M16 jams up in battle is because of when its firing, lint and dirt come into the reicever when it is being fired constantly). Also, the reason other countries carry the AK47 is because they dont have the money to buy M16's,MANY countries have the M16,but if you'd rather prefer an inaccurate weapon,be my guest.
Oh you of little experience. The M16 jams because it gets dirty. What is on a battlefield? DIRT. AKs will hardly ever jam because of dirt intrusion or fouling. Accuracy dont mean shit if you are fully automatic on a target. You just hope to hit them with a few bullets. And the AK is gonna hit harder than the M16 when it does hit. Hell the AK is only a half inch moa less than the M16 anyway. Thats not much. And recoil is not heavy at all. Unless you are a bitch.
if you are on full auto with the AK, all it does is go straight up,you have to burst fire for it to remain accurate, ive shot the AK and M16,the M16 is ALOT more accurate,AND gets the job done quicker in MY OPINION.the M16 know a days is just as reliable as the AK in a battlefield,HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF AN M16 A4?the A1 A2 AND A3 were the fairly unreliable ones!!!!WHY THE FUCK DO YOU THINK WE KEEP MAKING NEW ONES!!!!!!GET UP TO DATE AND OUT OF THE 20th CENTURY!!!
Actually the AK recoils up and to the right under full auto fire. ALL of the M16 style rifles that use the gas inpingement system for actuation are inherently going to jam. They are blowing carbon from the round right back into the same place that the ammo is feed into the chamber. But if you knew guns you would know this. The newer M4s with the piston system are a lot more effective because they use an AK style piston to drive the bolt back, keeping the chamber cleaner for longer.
And as far as accuracy goes the AK will hit a man sized target at ranges up to 300 yards. Most of the actual Russian made AKs shot around a 1-3 moa. Thats a perfectly acceptable accuracy for any assault rifle. The M4s only shoot around a 1" moa. So they really arent that much better. but again, you would know this if you had actually shot these guns and been informed on the facts of their uses. Sure the M16 can shoot 500 yards. But at 500 yards a 5.56 will stop in heavy clothing or gear.
HELLO!!!the M16 REMAINS ACCURATE AT UP TO 500 YARDS,IT DOES NOT LOOSE POWER,AND WHEN THE 5.56 DOES HIT A MAN WITH GEAR,THE BULLET TUMBLES AND ACTS MORE LIKE SLUG.which in turn shreads up nearly anything in its way.the AK may HAVE MORE VELOCITY AND A BIGGER ROUND,but that doesn't mean it does more damage overall, and the barrel of the AK wobbles when it is fired and the round release mechanism bounces back which causes its inaccuracy compared to modern day assault rifles.
You basically just let me know that you know nothing about guns right then. A projectile is a slug. At 500 yards a 5.56 will not have anywhere near the same power it does at 100 yards and is most likely gonna bounce off or stop in heavy clothing. The barrel of an AK does not wobble. It cant. Its pressed into the receiver pretty well. And the "round release mechanism" also known as the bolt, does cause a twist to the gun. But that does not affect single shot accuracy, only fully auto fire
But you would understand that accuracy is measured by single shots and not consecutive shots. Handling is how the gun function in rapid fire. and they are a bitch sometimes. But the AR can be too. and another thing. The 5.56 has much higher velocity than the 7.62x39. And the 7.62 does more shock trauma damage than any 5.56 can ever dream of. The 5.56 usually just cuts right through and keeps going out the back while the 7.62 is more likely to stop, transferring all energy into the target
to make it short, when a 5.56 shoots through a concrete wall, sheet metal,or an armored person it HAS a tendency to tumble in mid air,it looses velocity, but still has a better chance at causing internal damage, the 7.62 DOES have somewhat of that tendency to but when it is its more like a large piece of shrapnel,it doesn't have as much slicing power as the 5.56.the AK is ALOT less accurate than the M16,but thats what full auto is for.i would choose the AK for more of an urban use,but in a war,M16
Dumbass most wars are fought in cities now. A 7.62 round is going to do way more internal damage than a 5.56 even if the 5.56 does bounce around. Its called shock trauma. When the heavier 7.62 round hits the target it exerts much more force against it. and it has more surface area so it will carve a larger hole. The AK is not "ALOT" less accurate than the M16. You know nothing of combat arms other than what MW2 teachs you so please stop posting on here.
i know that the ak 74 houses the 5.45 x39.5 cartridge. the one im using uses the 7.62.39 cartridge. This variant which is produced in the ishapore factory is called the ak 7. It had created a raised eyebrow in mikhael kalashnikov when he visited india. apparently there were some patent issues. . im not talking of the 74. the 74 had a snub nosed barrel.
Regards to your comment about the "snub" nosed barrel, there are certain issues about this too!. The AK74 has a distinct muzzle break, but the barrel is not the ultra shorty type. However, there is a version called the AK74SU, and this does have a short barrel with a conical flash hider.India does not use it but there is in service a version of the Bulgarian AKM /47that is the same as the one in your video, but it has a shorter than usual barrel and the standard under folding stock.
ak47popper. I am smart, considering the fact that here in the UK, I happen to be a registered section 8 demilitarised firearms permit holder and happen to be registered on our firearms national data base; and actually own these guns, that I am conveying facts to ignorant people such as yourself!
yeah i've got a couple in the garage. anyway...i won't leave it up to you to stocktake my possesions.
by the way, look at the guy in this video. thats the sort of ppl who go near guns. he likes to talk like he knows alot but in reality, he is pissng himself after the 1st shot
It's probably this guy's first time at handling one. You should have seen me the very first time I shot a semi auto 9mm pistol. My first round nearly went through the gun club's roof!
Handling a long arm is relatively simple even at a young age as most of the recoil will be "absorbed" by the heft of the firearm and your shoulder. After rubbing linament on the bruise however does help!. Oh yes...9mm first time users always get the high wrist jump syndrome. Overcome it and you will be ok. Afterall, I did and won a gold in Dubai many years back!
The Bulgarian firm of Kintex who make this example of the AK47 also have supplied the Indian BSF (border security force) with the AK74S (folding stock type) in 5.45mm calibre.Like this late production AK47, the AK74 supports the new black plastic furniture and looks very formidable. If you get a chance to test fire it, do so!. India is a huge fan of all AK derivatives, and these have come from places like E.Germany,Poland,Bulgaria,Romania,Russia,Czech and Pakistan(yes..the captured Type 56 guns)
Actually bibhav, you are not correct about the designations!. The AK47 is also NOT known as the AK74. We indeed use both from Bulgaria, but the two are totally different and parts are NOT interchangeable; considering that the AK47 is 7.62x39 (M43) in calibre and the AK74 is 5.45 x 39.5 in calibre. The AK74 in India apparently has only gone to the BSF jawans, whereas the AK47 and AKM rifles are used by all branches.
bibhav, the rifle factory at Ishapore, and for that matter the factory at Kanpur are currently in the process of primary manufacture of the AK rifle in order to supplement the INSAS.The main supplier is "Kintex" from Bulgaria who despite being well versed in AK's ,have supplied India with a faulty batch recently 2 years ago that exhibited faults as burst and bent barrels.Later batches have rectified the problem as being traced to poor quality control.Never the less a very stylish rifle!
I shall clarify this weapon. This is a late production Bulgarian AK47S that is supplied to India. Bulgaria is the last country to still produce the AK47. Despite the fact that this derivative has the slanted AKM muzzle break(certain Polish types did as well); the type is still named AK47 because the receiver unit is produced by milling and not stamping and rivetting. Sadly though, there are instances of problems such as bent barrels and poor quality control.Early types were better by far!
isnt that a ak 74
