@IamianaimaI Northwoods was never accepted. USS liberty was one of Johnson's schemes, just like Tonkin bay - and therefore is nor related; the plan was: US to capture Suez canal. What happened there, was that the Liberty flag looked too realistic to be fake, so the torpedo boat crew closed in and hailed the Liberty, finding out it was American and not Egyptian in disguise (as the soldiers were briefed both by Mossad and CIA operatives), so they called in the helicopter to rescue the wounded.

If the IDF thought the Liberty (the most recognizable signal platform ship in the world) was Egyptian, then the IDF must have some of the most poorly trained pilots in the world. The lifeboats which had been damaged by the napalm were also set adrift at which point they were machine gunned by the IDF, many Liberty survivors aver this. That's a war crime.

@IamianaimaI What you try to overlook again and again - is that the CIA was directly in command of the Israeli side also, in the Liberty case: the torpedo boat had to call in help several times, after the helicopter went with the first wave of injured. It turns out that the Johnson administration staff ordered the rescue operation halted TWICE - it was McNamara himself who ordered the rescue down. At the end, we decided unilaterally that human lives are worth more than the control of the canal.

Claiming shooting at an burning, empty life raft is a war crime - is quite peculiar..

@TheEEStudent I am aware of the involvement of the US executive Branch in the Liberty atrocity. The US and Israeli have essentially been one government for 60 years, any "differences" are for show. What you don't understand is that neither of these governments work for their respective people. They work for supranational forces who manipulate nations. This rise in "Jewish" nationalism and hegemony will only be temporary just as Germany's in the 1930's was temporary. US-Israel is over.

However, this had not been the case for the entire 62 years of Israel existence - our mutual friendship stems from the Vietnam war, were many Jewish American troop served (in the tens of thousands) and we also took refugees from. Note that this was in the same timeline as the Liberty incident took place. This is no coincidence - president Johnson is the link.

@TheEEStudent The planes never could have damaged the steel core. The broke up before they could have reached it. there was not a single sign of the core after the collapse. If the building had pancaked, there could have been a twised mess of core collunms sticking up 150 feet in the air.

@TheEEStudent I agree, this is getting idoitic. If the buildings fell in 11 seconds, there was not enough time and energy to pummel the 220 acres of concrete floors into dust, and yet that happened. There were no floors recoverd, nothing larger than a desk. The buildings did fall in 11 seconds so that means there had to have been much more energy in the buildings that sum total of the buildings the their contents themselves - explosives. And what about building 7? fires made it fall?
