Great aircraft, however, when I set flaps beyond 22 in prep for landing the aircraft violently pitches nose down. This is with proper airspeed and trim. Once I use the trim to correct for the nose down trend the situation becomes worse. the more nose up trim I use with full flaps equal more violent nose down pitch. This happens on an A/P ILS coupled approach as well. Any suggestions?
Hi great job! the one problem i have with this is that is very laggy on my computer, and it is surprising because i have an imac. Is there anything you could reccomend.
Daniel Klaue I have the ERJ version 2. The manual says to land at about 135 kias. However I'm getting flap overspeed at 135 kias. I should be able to land full flaps at 135 kias with no problems, right? Thanks!
Yes, there is a stall bug in the rear horizontal stabilizer, which causes a lot of drag at low-throttle settings. That is being looked at, and a patch should be released shortly.
Great plane well done. The only problem is that the speed, v/s and altimeter digital readouts for the autopilot on the PFD is blurry/hard to see. Any chance of tweaking the readouts to make them more crisp?
Yes, I'm currently working on exactly that. The resolution of the flight displays will be 4x better than they currently are, and the layout will help make things not only more legible but also more true to the real thing.
Hello Dan. I am looking to purchaes your airplane, however there is a problem. i am banned from the X-plane(dot)org website and and am working on that however, i heard that the updates for your plane would be on the dot org website, so if i purchased your plane how could i get the updates and manual and all that good stuff for it?
Can you not purchase from the store if you're banned? If you can purchase the plane from the store, you'll get update emails. The download contains the manual.
Being banned from the org still allows you to read-only forum entries or get manuals, etc. If you can't get the updated manual, I could send it to you.
@danklaue I can purchase but i can not view ANYTHING besides the home page :\ Ya im going to go ahead and purchase it, and if I have any problems with the updates, could you please send them, thanks so much, I really appreciate it.
I just bought the ERJ 140 last night. One problem, those clear covers that cover the knobs that start the engines ....I cannot pull them down with the mouse. I'm using windows 7, so maybe that's a bug. Has anyone else had this same bug do you know? Thanks!
No. I was working on one, but the work involved was enormous, and the demand for it simply doesn't warrant the time it takes to develop. (The demand is basically nil).
@1053857 Even FSX planes are going the 3D panel route. It may take a bit getting used to, but it's well worth it. The 2D cockpit VIEW shows a cockpit that navigates like a 2D cockpit (with the difference that you can zoom in), so in every respect it's better.
@MrPmiguelP SketchUp would be used more for scenery. I suppose you COULD work on basic geometry in SketchUp, but you'd HAVE to take it into Blender or AC3D eventually.
The main factor here is the export scripts. So, someone MIGHT have written a SketchUp-to-X-Plane script, but I would doubt it. SketchUp probably would have a hard time with the animations of objects.
It really would be a lot simpler just to learn Blender, and know that Blender can actually handle a cockpit.
The included manual has specific instructions on this. You can go to X-Plane(dot)org and find the support thread for this ERJ. I just posted a new revised manual there, so you can download it without having the actual plane.
Thanks for this showcase vid. I know all i want about this plane. Great to see the final product of your tutorial. A really good job. Congratulations this is escellent
Is there any printable checklists for this aircraft?
ehemeyer25 6 months ago
@ehemeyer25 Checklists have been made for this aircraft. The're available on the X-Plane.org site, just like the custom liveries are.

What is the difference from the lite version than the other one
ehemeyer25 7 months ago
@ehemeyer25
Less eye candy; less graphic intensive. It's for people who have a slower computer. No normal maps, no gloss effect, lower resolution skins, etc.
danklaue 7 months ago
@danklaue Ok thanks, i really didn't see a difference. But thanks.

Is there a 2D cockpit for this aircraft. I really hate XPlanes 3D interface. Thanks !
I might consider buying it if it has a 2D panel.

This is a fun plane to fly, but there are many quirks that need updating, any time frame for an update? And can you open the cargo hold?

@danklaue Thats so unfortunate, because XPlanes 3D interface design is so stupid...Wouldn't it be easier to make a 2D cockpit than a 3D anyway?
