  • OK. So i grew up in Europe. I have been raised by white people. How do i react to this? I have always known, but never spoken out.

  • @cherokeecountryboy

Have you ever heard Russell Means speak? He and many Indian professors have a saying and I personally believe it's true. "Anyone born in America has the priviledge of calling themselves a Native American, simply because their born here." Which is why the most politcally correct term is American Indian, that and there are also East Indians, meaning India Indians. Which is why it's important to be specific.

  • @theturbana0r00 Also just for the record, I don't hate white people.(admittedly, I side first with My Indian heritage, but I am Indian & also AM white I am both, neither one or the other, & I know many white people who ARE good.) what I hate are ignorant/greedy people who are destructive to their enviornment & other living beings around them.

  • @529dsk I don't think Christmas is offensive to most Indian people. infact I think Indians generally celebrate christmas. its a good holiday if its not used in the greed context. its supposed to celebrate the joy of giving & how good it feels to show your family & loved ones you care about them. Thanksgiving & columbus day however are just outright insulting.

I don't think you should give up ALL your holidays : D

  • what began as geneological research became a history course in american indian history according to the american indians. as a white person who's lost some sleep and a few meals after reading about genocide it's not possible for me as a person with a conscience to celebrate american or christian holidays anymore. had to make that announcement to friends and family. family gets it, but not the whites in small town rural white america. i'm either offensive, pathetic or just plain crazy to them.

  • & furthermore for you finding it "offensive" this guy here, (that you said looked white btw, you fat white piece of hypocritical shit) who is HALF Lakota, looks white. He's OBVIOUSLY Indian, I know a fake like you whos never seen an Indian wouldn't know that, but I guess thats "just the way you were raised"

@theturbana0r00 Yeah, polluting the earth & breeding constantly are really helping your arguement. Although, in this case, most other races are as bad as you whites anymore.

  • @ cherokeecountryboy (Cherokee wannabe)

Yeah hmmm, you know it is "disrespectful" sort of like its disrepectful for ignorant Assholes like you who go around claiming Indian heritage, while somewhere A young Half or quarter Indian who looks "white" Has to go to school and be harrassed because of their"non existant"heritage(because of whites like you) to the point that going to school is a living hell. but hey, I don't want to offend YOUR (misguided ) belief that you ARE Indian.

  • To a lot of people here: You're not your ancestors, so don't try to act like you're being punished because of what they went through. If that were the case, where people feel the need to take pride in their ancestry, white people would be proud racist douchebags still today (which there are some that are...) but for the most part we know that our ancestors are stupid and we're trying to not be like them. Then there's everyone else hating white people for something we don't approve of either.

  • @TheTurbanat0r00 hold on what they went thru i see u r missing some history here .... boarding schools did what? they "stripped the indian out of us" "kill the indian save the person" these were there slogans (i use past tense cuz the last one closed in 1996) not to mention the over 50,000 children found dead in a mass grave behind the school i went to from 1980-1991 yes over 50k kids at just one school killed i saw w. my own eyes how they stripped us of being nDn by any means

  • @TheOkwaho Listen. Don't act like all white people are racist assholes is all I'm saying. I'm not a racist asshole, I don't discriminate against anyone. How exactly do I fit the stereotype you're putting on me? I don't approve of killing 50,000 children, obviously, but when people act like it's the white people who cause all their problems, it pisses me off, because I PERSONALLY have never caused a problem for anyone because of discrimination.

  • @TheTurbanat0r00 i did not say u all i said is known truths to me and others in my life, though i ask u do u go to rallies do u go to protests what are u doing to help us retain our lands? or is it that u like so many cast a blind eye to these atrocities done to us to this day like in canada there are bars in down town that are the only places to cash gov checks .50

  • cents on the dollar to this day w/ the other quarter of the checks in store credit are u doing anything to help us no are u standing in our was no but u are staying blind to what is actually still going on out there and in doing so u r no better then the ones causin these monstrosities to us...... words to sleep w/

  • @TheOkwaho I'm 15, it's not like I can go out and protest to help you retain your land. Just please don't generalize and act like every white person is the bane of your existence, please. We're not all aristocratic plantation owners or something.

  • @TheTurbanat0r00 15 ok ....... what is stopping u i remember protesting when i was 6 but i know im just an nDn i dont have not a thing better to do in my life then wine n cry..... no actually u can protest if u really wanted to (i have seen many white children protest for many things and in many ways) and here is how first u take it apon urself to learn everything that u wish to speak out about and i mean learn every perspective of it from all sides and every ppls involved

  • not just one side but all..... then u find ways to get ur message out to the ppl that do not know any better to lift the shadows from there eyes the largest way to get a message out is to use internet these days but it is not the only way u can on ur off time from school hold rallies and sit in protest on the steps of ur local court house but never do this w/o the knowledge to back u up, i personally started protesting myself for rainforest rights at the age of 14 it all comes down

  • to the fact of how much does it mean to u if u believe in it then u will learn the whole of the story n then u will stand up for what u believe in, this is not limited to just the rights of other ppls i held a rally once in school cuz the board said they would not allow a prep rally for the students this one time sit ins n much talk later we got our prep rally.... this is a right n power given unto u by the american gov learn how to use it properly thank u n blessings to u

  • @TheOkwaho A teenager cannot protest, simply "whine," because that's all teenagers do. Nobody would take anyone protesting under the age of 20 even remotely seriously. Even then, protesting still does next to nothing.

  • @TheTurbanat0r00 that may be the sterio-typed theory on it but in reality it is not the truth of it if u take what u wish to say seriously and learn all u can about it any message u take to the populas will be heard if u present it in the right manor never let things that bother u just lay like a lazy dog for if u believe in the trampled rights u wish to right then ur message will be heard n carried on ... big examp: jesus as a child, his message was heard cuz he had the

  • knowledge to back his standings and even against the eldest of the scholars so remember this world is what u make of it if u lay down then it is what others make of it but if u stand up it is what u will it to be only sheer will courage n tanasity on ur part will see u thru it it is ur world to create the way u wish it to be i see children ur age n younger takin a stand n gettin recognition for it in the news all the time, so go out n create, this is the message i wish to pass to u

  • @TheTurbanat0r00

He's 23. pay attention he even says so(on a different video) shut your mouth & pay attention you MAY learn something.

  • @hazubekishi Learn what? I don't watch every one of this guy's videos, so maybe he isn't an ignorant ass. But a lot of people responding to me are ignorant, some even illiterate, and they act like all white people are horrible. We're not all racist assholes, we're not all a bunch of hicks who hate anyone who isn't white. On top of that, what kind of so-called "true" NATIVE AMERICANS call themselves INDIANS? Unless you're from India, you're not an indian...

  • @the moonandsea keep dreaming you neo natzi piece of shit, your just trying to make yourself feel better about killing off millions of people. Your insane if you actually believe that crap.

  • Kill white people : P

  • I'm a Black Woman who don't celebrate thanks giving... because of the reasons he mentioned here.... and i get negativity from people every year.. My Jamaican community and other non- American immigrants just come over here and adopted some shit they know nothing about.. just to be greedy (food). I never understood why people celebrate this crap.. LIKE HE SAID ITS A STRAIGHT INSULT TO THE INDIGENOUS PEOPLE and all those that lost their lives..

  • Any "American Indian" group who celebrate Thanksgiving is celebrating their own ancestors holocaust. There is no respect or honor to take pride on a colonial European holiday that represents a day in which our ancestors had fallen to the knees of the European invasion, it was NOT A WAR, it was GENOCIDE! If our ancestors would be here right now, they will tell you the whole story from where it all began. There is no thanksgiving nor there wasn't a day of peace between the pilgrim & our people.

  • I feel bad for celebrating thanksgiving now :(

  • it's native americans not american indians! that is the doing of the white eye goverment. you clam to be an indian so get it right.

  • @cherokeecountryboy

your name points out your real ethnic backround, & your lack of knowledge afirms it.

Indians is what other first peoples generally refer to each other as, it means (in Latin ) In God. its not an insulting name, its more insulting after being Labled multiple Incorrect lables to have Someone change what we as a people are called because some people find it offensive. I like how you try to call someone who is obviously Indian a non Indian. Fake @SS

  • @hazubekishi thats is how i was raised, and everybody that i have talk too that are cherokee elders at the columbia pow-wow and at the elden pow-wow (in missouri) have told me. so i guss it is a matter of opinion. but don't call some one fake ass becouse that is very disrespectfull.

  • A lot of people got screwed over by the Europeans.

  • @treavioli A lot of people got screwed over by other people all the time throughout all of history.

  • @MrRfd30529 to be screwed or not to be screwed, anyone that fought back never got screwed unless they were wiped out for "prosperity" sake and i can safely say it stems from the saxon south england ppls, england has streched her lil fingers all over this world w/ colonies here n there not to mention 2 wars in the holy lands, now this gov set up against that country but by the same race of ppl that made it have been tryin to wipe my ppls out since contact up till 1996

  • @treavioli not any europeans only saxon south english ppls there stems the real horror of humanity documented since the crusades up to modern 1900s japan in the late 1990s was the last hold they wished to relinquish they still hold many territories in many other countries all fact all provable look it up

  • in the san francisco bay area, may folks go to the rock and have a sunrise ceremony...

  • hafunny you got white supremists trolling you

  • Whites were the first Americans. Asiatics lie and say the continent was empty when they crossed the Bering Strait. It wasnt', whites were already here. Look up:

"Ice Age Columbus: Who were the first Americans"

    "Spirit Cave, Nevada, mummes"

    "Windover Bog Mummies"

The "Native Americans" committed a white holocaust and then covered it up. The truth is coming out.

  • @TheMoonandSea

yeah, because books and videos written by WHITE MEN have always been pure truth. LOL good idea i'm gonna base everything on that Bullshit!

  • @dat1ndnguy books are writen by ppl and in these books are history; a word that can be broken to 2 syllables, his-story and when u know whom that story has been written by then u will know what the story is about.... wise words from my gran-pa full quantum mohawk

  • @TheMoonandSea such falsies i see spoken...... no there is not a race in the world other then nDn that have shovel teeth so were then did we come from if there is no others that have this dna marker that the canadian and US govs both use as genetic markers for recognition cards?

  • You want irrefutable proof that Caucasians were her before the Asiatics?

Check out the youtube video on the Windover Bog People in Florida. Scientists managed to take DNA samples of the remains and carbon dated them before the Native American tribes demanded they be handed over, The scientists were astonished when the results came back- THE DNA was European and thousands of years older than the earliest 'Native' remains found. The U.S Government is involved in covering up these findings.

  • I Fast on Thanksgiving...i have no Indian blood in me, but i've listened to too many Indian Heritage Stories, from many tribes. to believe the US Gov't BS version of altered History for public elementary children to make it look like a "picture perfect" BS of what ocurred and what happened years later, etc etc. - peace

    -signed

a LABELED 100% disABLED American Veteran... PROUD to FAST on Thanksgiving and REFLECT

  • taking someone's home through violent means is not legitimate, and so the system here, in my opinion is not legitimate. i think that regardless of what has happened this land continues to belong to the indigenous tribes and nations. as we know, conquerers (and abusers in general) always create a system of mythologies and rationalizations in order to attempt to legitimize their abuses, and "thanksgiving" is an example of that. hope your family is doing ok. - lmd

  • hi. i'm completely with you. i'm not an indigenous american & i know i'm a foreigner in america because no tribal governments gave my grandparents permission to immigrate here, but rather a regime composed of colonial, foreign theives did, which i don't consider legitimate in any way shape or form. i'm very, very sorry about what has happened here, i can't identify with a system based on ethnic cleansing & genocide (followed by a whole series of extreme) international crimes. (con').

  • Wow great video. Thank you for sharing ;-)

  • you hit the nail on the head! Thank You for speaking this right...A'ho.

  • And I'll even take it one further; my older brother joined the U.S. army; 7th cavalry in fact...anyone with a good knowledge of American history should understand why that is in itself a conflict within a conflict.

  • I have native heritage on my fathers side of my family; Oglala Teton, or plains 'Sioux'...[also Sans Arc 'Sioux' heritage] we can only go back so far as the great assimilation of the late 1800's destroyed any knowledge me and my siblings could find about that part of our heritage. There has always been an inner battle in my own heart over this tragedy and loss of history for myself and many others.

  • I can't believe I'm having a conversation, right now, with another American (...I don't even know if I'd consider him actually 'human'...) who is arguing the fact that the Colonists slaughtered the Native Americans as if 'The American Holocaust' is nothing but a contrived, made-up story in order to slander America's image. Errr...actually, that's not really possible - America ruined it's image a long, long time ago. It's a pity revising history isn't as effective as it was in the past...

  • Thanks for an awesome eye-opening video.

  • Savages, savages, barely even human....haha!!

  • Hey Simon I went to the Day of Mourning today in Plymouth, Mass. It was very emotional for all you who there, I read ignorant comments below and its so sad how many people I guess we could say are "brainwashed" and refuse to believe in the truth. great video!

  • Saying people who get together on Thanksgiving support the thievery of the country from the Native Americans is like saying...People who celebrate Christmas are devoted Christians. Its not true, they just do it because its fun and promotes togetherness among families.

  • Who the eff cares? Nobody really cares about the "reason for the season". They just use it as an excuse to get together and eat. Everyone with a brain knows this land was stolen. It isn't right, but getting pissed off about it isn't going change anything. Maybe because I'm not Native American, I don't understand...but it just sounds like unnecessary stress to me.

  • you tell it, like a BOSS!

  • Awesome answer...to that question

  • Ahh the good old days, when 500 bucolic Indian tribes were free to butcher and enslave each other without the Europeans interfering.

Biggest problem with the Europeans? They were better at it.

  • @rider92131 You are wrong on so many levels, that I can't even begin to explain! But the biggest problems with the Europeans was

    1. They brought over diseases from the west ( including christianity)

    2. Their descendants ( what you now call Americans) even up until today continue to rip off and mock the descendants of the original inhabitants.

  • wow, as always i know that i don't know. remember some yrs ago one of my hommies from the state raised an issue about thanksgiving stuff while we're chatting on-line and many of us said no we don't celebrate as it's not our culture but the girl tried hard to convince us it's about being thankful for everything we've or whatever. imagine there're millions of ppl who just follow the crowd without knowing the real history be it thanksgiving or whatever american

  • Thanks for posting this. The Germans don't celebrate on the anniversary of Kristalnacht, but I imagine some take time to reflect on the event.

  • victim complex

  • Thumbs up

  • Thanks for posting this Moya304. I completely agree with you abut this.

  • the white race is the CANCER OF THE WORLD...plain and simple.

  • @99cacahuate This is racist.

  • I couldn't agree more! Creek/African/Irish Native/Slave/immigrant

  • A different 1%.

  • im white pagan born in usa i hate thanks giving im ireland/uk/siulyin/dutch mix blood native..........pagan pride.......blass it be

  • i dont like holidays that i am expected to celebrate like a trained animal/consumer.my great grandma was Cherokee.i am Irish & Cherokee.Druid/Native American heritage.greatgrandma spoke of the destructions of american land/air/water just in her lifetime and it was hard to imagine that this used to be a beautiful place where water didnt have chlorine and flouride.if you even want to call this, recycled drugged sewage, water.its all being destroyed.garbage and poison.nothing to be thankfull for...

  • I think he says native indian because ive told people I was Native American and theyre like "whats that?" its just for people who dont get it and I agree with him but we still get together too just not really celebrate.

    Niipaahum Maxkw

  • Aww...boo hoo!! You act like you're the only people to have been fucked with. Every ethnicity has been and yes white people too, that's a fact!! Blood shed is the way of life, Is it fucked up, yes it is, but that's life!! You need to move on. Do you think everyone that celebrates it is celebrating the death of your people, no. They just do so because they get to see friends and family and eat a lot of really good food?? I'm tired of everyone giving me shit cause I'm white. I'm PROUD to be white.

  • @Guardian2681 oh dear lord, deconstruct your privilege.

  • @adirgeforher What.....???????

  • @Guardian2681 PROUD? Thats too bad!

  • @wrknmom1 Haha..For you!!

  • I'm with you. I get it. I understand. I love.

  • .....but don't worry Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods are now happy to take the white man's money. Thanksgiving spread every Nov 26th. Cha Ching!

  • @bodhranful no amount of money could ever repay what the white man did

  • i wish u weren't a moron and called ur own race by something they all noe they arent... which is indian.

  • I think that what you're saying is on point, but I happen to know some Native AMERICANS that take offense to your use of the word INDIAN as the race. India is a country on the other side of the world. The country and even the continent they are on is America nor did Native's EVER refer to themselves as Indians before or after that (with the exception of you).

Otherwise I thought it was historically on point and correct. Native Americans have got the raw end and continue to to this day.

  • @thevinylplane For the record... when the first Europeans came here, there was NO such place as India!!!!! That country was called Hindustan and was not called India until the 1800's. When the invader Columbus showed up the referred to the native people as being people "in dios", meaning "of God". So call me Indian all you want... many of the Native American people I know refer to themselves as .... indyun.

  • @Mamawolf2000 no. the indies were a region they referred to in asia.

  • @Mamawolf2000 many???? I would be hard pressed to believe that since the name is still a derivative of the white man who came to dispense violence and disease.

  • Bless you man.

  • You are exactly right what you are saying. I am a black, beautiful young lady and I don't understand why black people celebrate Thanksgiving? Our ancestors were brought here in America as slaves. I think black people who lives in today society are hipocrates African Americans that is. Thanksgiving is white people holiday.

  • You are exactly right what you are saying. I am a black, beautiful young lady and I don't understand why black people celebrate Thanksgiving? Our ancestors were brought here in America as slaves. I think black people who lives in today society are hipocrates African Americans that is.

  • @prophetofthenow im with you but the thing is people dont know ignorance is bliss and we still have alot of waking up to do hopefully i will be behind some of that change

  • John Wayne made his fame being the All American Cowboy -- Indian killer!

That uniform supported the thinking: "The only good Indian is a dead Indian."

Now that we are smarter and wiser, we all know Geronimo was the true "HERO".

The very name "APACHE" means enemy.

  • COWBOYS AND INDIANS!

When growing up and playing Cowboys and Indians....movies "ALWAYS" make it seem that the Cowboys were the good guys and the Indians were the bad guys! Children always wanted to be a Cowboy even when it was "MORE FUN" being an Indian.

Now that I'm smarter and wiser because I can think for myself, I know the real deal.

  • how are you so good looking and not famous?

anyway i was curious what other people did on thanksgiving, we don't celebrate it but we're not from the north. i kind of assumed that american indians up here celebrated columbus day bc they're not from the south. but it's nice to know there's some mutual understanding here.

  • i told my family we were watching nothing but native movies on thanksgiving and we are not celebrating the day as it is intended to many.. we are celebrating our day of being together and surviving the failed treaties...and etc.... :) maybe we should consider renaming the day to something else, more Native!!! any suggestions?

  • the word itself is an insult "thanksGIVING" this word was meant to insult native peoples. as if native people "GAVE" all their resources away. when the truth is, that their resources were "STOLEN" by force. lets get our words right!

  • Well, to be honest, that's not why Thanksgiving is Thanksgiving. The true origin of the national holiday was just after the constitution was written and the bill of rights was implemented. Congress suggested to Washington to have a national holiday for "Thanksgiving to the lord" which he made the 26th of November. It became a tradition to have it on the last Thursday of November 'till Lincoln made it a national holiday. Not saying I disagree with your views on NA's in general.

  • Comment removed

  • You totally opened my eyes , I litterally had no idea . Thank you, thanks giving for me was never for the holiday but to share a meal with my family never the less I suppose it is what it is

  • I'm Native American; I cook turkey on thanksgiving and gather with my family. When I was younger I was ignorant and ask why we celebrate it and my gram's answer was. "We don't; we just eat. That's what we do just eat. We know what happened; we don't have to bring it up again."

I undersand that schools don't tell the whole story but as I grew older I noticed that the story was told more truthfully; not the whle truth but at least kids now-a-days understand it more.

  • Truth.

  • I hate the way they teach about, "Thanksgiving" to school children. That's what bothers me the most. I remember what they told us when we were young. They make it seem like it was a happy thing. When it was sad.... I agree with what you said. And it is true that alot of people really have no idea. It's not hard to pick up a history book. I approve of, "no thanksgiving". Have a happy day with your family though. Doing what you do... :)

  • well spoken

  • Thank you brother!! No thanksgiving and NO Black Friday...

  • I'm also not celebrating this wack ass holiday. Fuck thanksgiving. Even the name is absurd.

  • Right On Brother !!!!!! TESTIFY !!!!!!..lol

  • A+ Simon!

I agree with everything that was said here!

Why should we celebrate all these holidays that really don't mean anything to anybody? I see it as just another lazy day for all the fat cats up in Washington, sitting back spending thousands of dollars while people on the rez are starving. Good job again Simon!

  • Well done.
