I have the buscher raceing 50trim and methenol water injection and pilot 3in exhaust spooling about 4200 and 22psi about the same but i have the stock intercooler i like the set up its a gt stang killer and i have chased down a few new vettes too!
OK, thanks for the reply. Hm... at the AMS website, they said that their 50 trim spooled at like 3100-3600. But, 4200? Would it be because of the brand, and AMS's turbo's specs' may be different?
It may be a different form of the 50trim. There are a few different ones. Mine was the bigger a/r which causes more lag but more power to be made. There are also other housings out there now that twin scrolls and things that help spool up. My 50trim was hitting full boost at like 4200 it started to spool at like 3500.

Sold the car for a supra 6 speed TT well worth it too. The Evo sounds like that because it has a bigger turbo than stock and it is running an open wastegate dump so the excess psi the turbo is making that my motor cant take gets tossed out under the car, where as most cars and stock turbos dump the psi into the exhaust which is quieter. Turbotrix 3inch downpipe catless and megan racing 3 inch catback. Also had a turbotrix tubular manifold, and TiaL 44mm wastegate run open and a ball bearing 50trim turbo with a .63 a/r
Currently in the process of editing a video for a MR2 turbo build up were doing to keep and eye out for that to pop up. should be an 11 sec mr2. I just started the video edit now but the build up is just getting started so the vid wont be down for a month or two because we need the footage
This kit will make 410-420WHP on pump on a VIII at 23-24PSI. It hits full boost right around 4100RPMs which is not to bad on the street at all and very fun to drive. Id recommend it. But also consider a FPgreen they are almost equally good for power and spool like stock and cost half the amount
yea the green was the one i was leaning towards...i got a ix and alot of people say that the green really isn't that much of an upgrade from a ix turbo and im just thinking that if i get the green that i won't get the power i was looking for. i might just go for the green though cuz i dont have money for the 50 trim right now lol
All the Green is, is just your stock turbo with an upgraded wheel. They are def going to make gains. They make 400 on pump and around 460 or so on meth and 93. youll def know the difference. Just do it right and do all the supporting mods with it
None worth watching. the car is stock cept for a air filter and exhaust it is not very fast atm. but he is going to be doing a 46trim upgrade and some other toys to get ready for this spring

Do you remember what RPM did the 50 trim usually spools around on the EVO?

It had full 22 PSI at about 4200RPMs. It spools rather quick

how much power did you put down on this kit? when does it start spooling and when do you hit full boost?
