I was with Carlos tonight and am proud to call him my friend. He is always so humble and yet he is probably the finest guitar player in the world. His playing of this piece is a prime example of his greatness.

I had the privilege of seeing him front row in the Aranjuez Palace Chapel during the Andrés Segovia Festival in Madrid, about two years ago... The man played exquisitely for over 2 hours, this piece included... I have to say it is the most INCREDIBLE live performance I have ever seen in my life. If you closed your eyes you would think there was an orchestra playing... But perhaps even more incredible was being able to have dinner with him right after and realizing he is such a humble person...
Carlos Barbosa Lima is the one of finest guitarist in the world and plays beautiful jazz guitar musicbesidres classical. " Seis Milonga " is a beautiful piece played him and can never be bored hearing this again and again.
Great, thanks for posting. I highly recommend buying Carlos Barbosa Lima DVD vudeo this excerpt is posted from. I bought it from Mel Bay. Both video and audio of a high quality, not attainable on YouTube.

You all might like Yamandu Costa as well,it's another brazilian guitar player, younger than carlos barbosa, but also good player.
Parabens Carlos Barbosa, um talento tão pouco reconhecido no Brasil.

I wish more people in the U.S. would listen to this type of music. Only no talent crap is popular here.

I listen to this tune every day.
Barbosa-Lima is a master player.
I feel truly humble to witness this performance, knowing I'll never even attain a tenth of his ability.

This is fantastic. The guitar yields to his virtuosity. An inspiration to watch.

Here, we have the great privilege to listen an extremely beautiful piece of music played by a true master, one of my preferred ones!!!
Carlos is an amazing guitarist, perfectly mastering this terrific instrument, playing a piece of music written for top masters...

Only thing better than Carlos is: Laurindo Almeida, Charlie Byrd AND Carlos all together in "The Brazillian Masters."
My favorite album
