The song doesn't belong to anyone but the songwriter. if he she decides to sell THEIR song then that is THEIR decision. By letting Westlife have a crack at it was a very good decision by the songwriter, he or she will make a lot of money off it... no disrespect to Daughtry but Westlife have been in the business a lot longer and have a much larger fan-base at this moment in time so its bound to be a hit.

And for god sake, its only a song. There are much worse things to bitch about in the world.

I love Westlife, have done ever since they came out, and so what if they sing covers? I think it's a good thing - they cover old songs, then another generation who didn't know the song first time round, know it.

Same with this cover - I'd never heard Daughtry's (hope I spelt that right!!) version, but after hearing this, I've listened to the original and I've downloaded it..

But if you're still not happy, blame the record company for the covers, it is their choice after all, not Westlife's!
