  • Nice concept. but only if you could get it to work...

    I'm in support of new nuclear technologies like this. But and I do mean a BIG but, until these new technologies are available and feasible, no new nuclear power stations should be built based on the old designs

  • very interesting talk, I had to do some research about sustainable energy at my university afterwards I didn't think nuclear power had much of a future when it was compared to new rising technologies. But after this talk (proposing new ideas and designs) it seems like there is a lot of future potential for nuclear power, at least until we are ready to let go of nuclear power in favor of new technologies. I just wonder if people can be convinced that this is actually the way to go, I do hope so.

  • @J0R3K This design is heavily influenced by the Liquid Fluoride Thorium Reactor (LiFTR) that was designed by Oak Ridge National Labs (US). There's an online movement to revive LiFTR R&D you will find it interesting a youtube search for Kirk Sorenson will bring up allot.
