i have a fms on my computer too.. and i enjoy it all the time.. i have a lot of links to a lot of planees and landscapes on my video of my fms gee bee.. if you would like the links then just type rcplanetim fms in youtubes searchbar.. that was some nice flying too.. i have a few rc planes that i like to fly also...here is my fms gee bee.. this is the video with all the links...

I was flying a 747 in FMS now. That was a good idea to fly with a Xbox 360 controller, i'm gonna try it, it's hard to fly with the keyboard.

No,I don't know whu. Maybe the people who design them are trying to keep it for others who design and you need to change something in the files for the carrier using the designing software?

I don't see why not so long as you get it set up and working on the computer properly.. I can use my ps3 controller in all games I've tried to.

Saturday, I went to the hobby shop and tried Real Flight and FS 1. I was very surprised that I could fly every plane they had except the really fast jets (hard to keep up with). Do those sims have an easy setting or something? FMS seems a lot harder to fly. I can fly every plane in FMS but the too-fast, too small Curtis plus some tougher ones I've added.

If the other sims aren't on easy, I got an Xbox 360 controller on my PC and wonder if that makes it harder to fly FMS.

I just installed FMS on a new dual core pentium laptop with 2 gig or ram. It flies quite realistically on this computer. I don't know if my old pc's specs were too bad or if it didn't handle the Xbox 360 controller right.

Everything (helli's too) is EASY to fly!!! A few models I've imported into FMS still have more edge than anything I flew in Real Flight or FS One, but even those are reasonably easy to fly for me.

I guess the glitch on the old pc worked to make me a much better pilot...

Is it me, or is it odd that I can fly the BF 109, su 26, Airbus, and other hard planes but have so much trouble with that Cessna Skymaster?

Man, you're good. I can't fly anything but the red electric plane, the non-V tailed sailplane and the slow flier. A couple of others I can fly in the chase-cam mode but that's it. How do you do those snap rolls on the Sukhoi? I have a 360 controller too, though my PC is a Celleron with half a gig of ram. Does that have any affect?

how did you hook up the xbox 360 controller to the simulator program? I plugged in the 360 controller by usb port and windows installed the driver automatically. But after that, I can't get it to read the controller? Nothing happens, just the lights on the controller blink all together like it's looking for a source to connect to.

Just try searching something like "FMS RC simulator" in google. Yes it is free. It's not really a game, but it is fun, and it's good practice. You can download more plane models off various sites.

Yes, if you have windows XP or Vista all you have to do is plug it into the USB on your pc and maybe click automatically go online and get driver or something and it will work.

I tried my X-Box 360 controller but I can't get the right stick to be recognized moving left & right (ailerons). Did you have to overcome that problem?

If you mean the FMS itself, just search for it in google, it's free. If you mean the specific model of the Electrafun XP or any of the others, the XP was searched for in google as I intended to get it (and did) and the others either came with the FMS or from an older version of it.

If you use a real transmitter your flights will be more smooth and it will train you better for real life. Good luck! Flying planes is fun :)

Too complicated to explain here. You need to calibrate it, there is a screen for that. Post a question on the forums if you don't get it.
