lol you don't understand... the pvp xp(to gain ranks) and the characters level xp is completely seperated... when you die in pvp you lose you PVP experience NOT your character's xp for character levels... and i think thats pretty fair if you die you lose points simple as
I wouldn't say it is the worst system. You have battlegrounds as you mentioned, but there is also the Arena and outdoor PvP; if you chose a PvP server that is. If you didn't join a PvP server, there are still areas where you will be automaticly flagged for PvP on entering.
I personally thought WoW PvP was well balanced. Those that don't want to PvP, don't have to. People who love PvP find it easy enough to jump in and get started. The fact that AoC has all this and more continues to impress me.
'Don't fix what isn't broken' comes to mind. WoW has a great PvP system that works. It's simple and it's effective.
What is unique about AoC PvP is the real-time aspect, mounted combat and those totems spawn points that he mentioned.
Another note; the fact that the PvP icon is displayed on your interface means that you can access PvP mini-games from anywhere in the world. You don't have to go to a designated PvP barracks or what not, just to join a game.

It's pretty simple JackFTW when you die in pvp you loose some of your pvp xp not xp that you gain levels from but xp that you get in pvp.

WoW has the shittiest pvp ever, the only pvp there available is Battlegrounds and is forced if you wanna PvP
