it's funny cuz she's not my favorite girl emcee. she's my favorite emcee hands down, without a doubt. it's not cuz she's a woman and it's not because i'm a 17 year old male. it's because she has a power, a realness to her lyrics that is beyond a majority of the rap world. and in my personal opinion "real" is the key to beauty. and her songs really are beautiful. they connect on so many levels with the listener that it's amazing. i really wanna take the poetry class she teaches in st paul.

I would acctually have to say Dessa would be in my top fav mcs but then Im kinda skewed because Im mostly a fan of rock music or metal and stuff and am very picky about the hip hop I listen to. I would go with POS, Cage, Mos, Common and Kanye(deal with it!) and Dessa as the favorites that I would keep comming back to.

1st of all, im not a sexist,but, ive never heard any female music that ive liked. plus, ive always detested female rappers and said there is no such thing as good girl rap.BUT dessa proved me wrong. thank you dessa

good views, she's pretty good. on the doomtree album she drops some good rhymes.

I disagree on one point. I dislike alot of female rappers because I think they find their female novelty is all they need and they can get by on that alone so their raps suffer.

Dessa dosen't get off on a "i'm a woman, fuck you" tip, she raps like she is an artist, so good for her!
