As a West Coast Avengers show, this series misses the mark. Comparing this to the comics, Hawkeye's defensive personality is actually that of U.S. Agent, who was the west coast team's Captain America stand-in, who was provided by the government, which provoked animosity from the group and a conflict with the comic's Hawkeye. Also, the uniforms in this series are too far removed from the comics for traditionalists. The group line-up is also rather selectively chosen from the comic team's bullpen.

This isn't that bad of a show, but it does remind me why I didn't really watch it when it firs aired. There were so many cartoon shows at the time to choose from and the avengers just weren't that popular. So many mistakes made, this show should've been successful. I mean the 90s were great for superhero cartoon shows.

Agree, and they really should've added Captain America, I mean Captain America puts the, "A" in the Avengers. Cap and Iron Man woulda been nice, but the armor isn't a major issue. More appealing to kids. Keep in mind Iron Man had his own 90's cartoon, as did Hulk. Although more guest appearances would be nice. I'm not too fond of the voice cast. As for storylines, its immensely difficult to do issue for issue. But I think as far as basic plotlines go, they did great. Like Hawkeye being booted from the team in favor of Falcon, and Wondermans brainwaves in Vision.

I have all of the avenger comics from 142 until presant day and I also have the compleat avengers on CD. I have the compleat set of west coast avengers and avengers spot light. I do not ever remember Hank pym refered to as Henry pym. I understand Hank Aaron and Henry Aaron, but this is the first time I have herd Pym called that.
