@rensvanderveen I pretty much learnt it by ear... Basically the chords are Am, G, Dsus2 for the verses and then the chorus goes Am, F, C, G. For the melody (the singing part), I learnt that part separately and then figured out how to play it while playing the chords at the same time and that's pretty much it :p

I'm not usually one to comment negatively on any piano vids (being an amatuer piano player myself, and knowing that no one can be perfect...) but that chorus definately does need work... It shouldn't be so staccato....

It was staccato cause I was playing on a keyboard so there was no pedal to hold the notes. Also, I noticed the chords I did were wrong. I'm hoping to get a new cover up with my new piano soon.

Correct, Trent Reznor wrote it, but when Johnny Cash covered it and sang it with such brilliance, Trent actually publicly said "this is now Johnny Cash's song." John made it truely amazing....it touches my heart every time

@DiddledOnce Reznor also has his stupid wife singing his new tracks and calls it "How to Destroy Angels". He is a very self-loathing person, which is why he would say such asinine things about Cash doing Hurt better than him. I also think that if Cash knew his fans would be so ignorant and unappreciative toward Reznor, he would have said F- it and not even covered the song. It was the A-Hole cash fans that went on the offensive in the first place and accused NIN of ripping off "Cash's song".

@aSafePlaceToHide seems to me more than seeing them as "A-Hole cash fans" you should just brush them off as ignorant fools with keyboards infront of them. thinking Cash did it first when the NiN version released in '94 and Cash's version didnt drop until '02 is just poor research on their part. I'm a NiN fan myself i just hate to see people over generalizing another group based on the few loud voices.
