Yea it sucks they broke up when they did. But honestly im glad they stoped before the 80's got to them. In Through The Outdoor kinda showed that a little bit.
It's a good song, but someone should come along and jazz it up a bit, make it a little more boppin,' more hip to the times. I often comment on Justin Bieber's facebook, and plead with him to cover old classics. I'm hoping I can get him to do a cover of "Stairway to Heaven" or "Immigrant Song" ... but I'm thinking maybe it would be best if he did something a little more obscure, like this one. And he could rock out on the drums or something!!!!! That would be so bitchin'!!!!! Justin forever!
@Downoneburn their later albums are a drastic change from their older stuff, some like it some don't. In my opinion this is the best of their later stuff, after PG its just not the same because of Bonhams drinking and Pages heroin use.
@tripletmeista Presence was a really good album. U had Achillies Last Stand, For Ur Life, Nobody's Fault, Cndy Stor Rock. I think they fell off when they did Coda. But no Doubt best album of all time is PG.
@tylerduncan1089 They were already split up by the Jimmy released Coda. Coda was just a hodgepodge of unused tracks from throughout the twelve years they were together. Their last album, "In Through the Outdoor", on the other hand, was and is always given mixed receptions, due to the band being relatively distant (i.e., Page and Bonham).
Love the versatility Zeppelin has. This is a chilled out, stoned song perfect for a time with a drink in your hand...by the seaside.

This group is so unique, and play from heart, not for money. Best compositions ever written in recorded existence...

Really underrated. Down by the Seaside is one of the best songs on PG. One of the best A-sides of the music story:
1 - In The Light
2 - Bron Yr Aur
3 - Down By The Seaside
4 - Ten Years Gone
Timeless!!!
