So say that you have a lil melody like a ear candy kind of piece that is only played a couple times throughout each verse, do you make the loop and drag it all throughout the song? or actually rerecord the loop at each part of the song you want the sound at?...since i should never copy and paste..
@MickeyBarz4040 Well what I was saying is that instead of using the Edit menu and Copy or command-c, use option-drag to copy... it's more efficient. You can just keep option-dragging it to make additional copies. Or if you want it through the whole song simply drag from the top right of the midi region how long you want it and then press either command-L or control-L (I cant remember which one, its like muscle memory now) to convert them into real copies. Hope that helps!

@busariab First of all, you can get close to real sound by not using mp3 and using 24bit WAV. Second of all, ALWAYS use real time bounce and never use Ofline bounce mode which results in degraded, shit audio. Third, mixing procesors to use on your individual tracks and master tracks are Limiters and Compressors and in rare instances, Adaptive Limiters. Read through the FX And Instrument manual in Logic Pro.
@guitarsalert smaller value? You mean like visually smaller? option scroll or are you trying to draw in smaller notes as in 1/64 notes? Just make the first note select it then use pencil tool and it will draw in subsequent same size notes.
@guitarsalert You know I'm really not sure, I don't do it that way and got accustomed to just manipulating the size of the notes not the grid. I use option+drag method to build rolls, hi-hats, blabla based on the note sizes. I know what the 1/64, 1/32, 1/16, 1/8 notes look like so, just play with it.

I know it can be time consuming and annoying watching tutorials and not everyone has everything from start to finish in one place and also they leave out important shit.

@Tysoota96 It's just a build up. Just don't drop your bass line and melodies and shit all at once, have them kick in when you want the beat to drop in.
hey i finally got logic pro 9 you was right it is garageband on steroids lol but i have one problem when i record my drums its off beat even tho its on beat when im playing while it records when i play it back its all off my friend said something about quantinizer or some shit im kinda lost lol any advice?
@TrayCook20 yea you need to quantize it, top left, you will see quantize, set it to 1/16th and if it still soiunds off on the drums, set it to 1/8th or add swing. I fux with the quantize 1/16th and 1/8th are kewl

@ScrewedupDJPlays I produce on logic so I prefer logic i guess :P I've used it to make electro, dubstep, hip hop, ambient, space music.. It can do whatever. I prefer it over pro tools. Ill have to check out dub turbo.

@harryo74 Hey harry. I set the tempo on the fantom to twice that of the tempo in logic. In this case I think it was a 90 bpm track so I did 180 bpm on the fantom. Double time. Cheers.

@JuniSoFly There's no best, it's up to what suits you the most, what you find intuitive for you. FL is pretty straitforward, you can throw ideas in no time. Logic is a very complete DAW and the learning curve might be steep for beginners. Keep in mind that Logic is Mac-only and FL, Windows-only. You'll always see flame wars about what is the best between Logic/FL/Cubase/Sonar (and so on) but that's childish.

What kind of midi's are you runnin? Just keyboard? Also what would you prefer I have a MacBook pro and just spinning on a numark ns7 (if that means anything)... The ? @harryo74 Hey harry. I set the tempo on the fantom to twice that of the tempo in logic. In this case I think it was a 90 bpm track so I did 180 bpm on the fantom. Double time. Cheers.

@JuniSoFly There's no best, it's up to what suits you the most, what you find intuitive for you. FL is pretty straitforward, you can throw ideas in no time. Logic is a very complete DAW and the learning curve might be steep for beginners. Keep in mind that Logic is Mac-only and FL, Windows-only. You'll always see flame wars about what is the best between Logic/FL/Cubase/Sonar (and so on) but that's childish.
