  • the renaissance may have copped a beating but lets hope it aint dead

  • This is the kind of hiphop that has to come back! True flow, relaxed lyrics and a meaningful message. Not the meaningless "I get money" rap we have today. The song is genious!

  • this song is awsome i dunno what all u haters are talkin about....

  • I know all the words to this awesome song

  • god i miss the 90's....

  • @ridgely09brown REAL HIP-HOP is still here... Kendrick Lamar, and not just him, look deeper. Underground is where the meaning is my friend.

  • @MissyTheMissyCat The term is a West Indian slang for shooting someone.....Smooth Bee was gonna shooting the drug addict for stealing...

  • awesome, what a joke music is today. somehow i wish i could take the fm radio function off my car radio just so i don't listen to that garbage!

  • i lost my best friend albert spurlock, the guy that first introduced me to this song on the way to watch a Tombstone matinee, earlier this year.. also showed me too short and poison clan, lol.. miss him tremendously, hearing this feels like putting on an old glove, thanks so much for the upload.

  • 1992 phuck yeah

  • a friend of mine uploaded a video of him and some friends driving when the tracy chapman version came on..it reminded me of this song. best "cover" or "sampling job" I think there ever was.

  • Comment removed

  • This was before Tracy Chapman and this wasn't the 90's it was like 88 or something like that if I remember right.

  • @LERONE702 this song was released in 1991 tracy chapman fast car released in 1988 google it

  • its like getting lost in a time machine, thank you 90's

  • Hip Hop is Black Music/Culture

  • @breezwonder its human culture :)

  • @himynamesfather No its Black culture thats been embraced by other humans

  • @breezwonder IS IT REALLY "BLACK" CULTURE?? Some things to thnk about.. 1. White people as both fans and major executives and producers have had much to do with hip hop, 2. much of hip hops songs and attitude comes from what came before it.. the gangsterism of the Italians and others and many shows, songs ect of the 1900's

  • @delligatti1 Sorry but your arguument is off. Whites being fans or executives of the music is all on the premise of them embracing or ging contributions to it but we as Blacks are the creators. And Hip Hop did not start off as Gangsterism at all until it found its way into the westcoast in the mid 80's

  • @breezwonder humans all the same my friend, peace :)

  • Listen to "Fast car - Tracy Chapman" the start chords are very similar

  • heeey they used a tracy chapman song for thier beat, thats fuckin awsome! new favorite of mine

  • "too much of anything makes you an addict" thats a mean line

  • @bangahzvill94 im addict to rap n hip-hop ! please dont put me in rehab

  • the less you talk about the dislikes, the les dislikes there will be.

  • smooth b Greg nice slick nick click, sometimes I rhyme slow sometimes I rhyme quick

  • @urchocoalate

4 people have an opinion you don't share, fuck it, stop worrying about the haters bro.

  • ok guys...this song is catchy and i like listening to it, but dont say "fuck mainstream hip hop" when THIS IS MAINSTREAM HIP HOP. it was all over the radio back in the day. just because its old school doesnt mean its underground. fake ass hip hop heads piss me off.

  • The second verse is the best on this song.

  • sometimes i rhyme slow sometimes i rhyme quick...

  • @Hswest24

    want a medal?

  • @Hswest24 want a medal?

  • @JamzFromTheCrypt215 Your a douchebag. just cause you spent your teenage years beating off , doesnt mean you can get mad at younger kids for having good taste in hip hop/ rap

  • @Hswest24 haha don't flatter yourself, you're probably still not "thought of"

  • Nice & Smooth is an example of a group who just goes about their business, banging out hits and never brought attention to themselves. True hip hop fans appreciate these cats because they could literally rhyme about ANYTHING and make it flow.

These guys never get mentioned among the greats, but I sense thats how they would want it.

  • @Fit4life5111

  • Bye Bye real HipHop! We will miss U! :(

  • @crazyhustlin

Its still there bro. Just dont go lookin for it on the radio :)

  • @crazyhustlin you there's always underground, never trust the mainstream hip-hop of today

  • @crazyhustlin real hip hop is still herre.you just gotta search for, the way it should be. only the great deserve it not everyone, just ppl with the right ear.

  • @crazyhustlin sad but true:(((((

  • @thesouthrapsucks Its like a girlfriend, when you and her gets together, its love, but when it comes to where you and her brokes up because you and her have a bad realition ship, its gone!

  • everyomes racist..songs sickk

  • Hip Hop is BLACK MUSIC/CULTURE! Non Blacks call it "Universal Music" cause they wanna be down

  • @breezwonder Really? People like you are the reason racism is still a big problem..All music is, and should be universal. Music has nothing to do with rase..

  • @guccichanel Yeah sure. Ive always found it funny how the things Black people create has to be called "Universal"

  • @breezwonder

Your Mom wants to be down on me

  • @Final1x Just like i said. "They wanna be down"

  • @breezwonder i am so fucking mad at you for posting a racist comment on this video, so heres what imma do, imma over react to your comment by taking it as an attack on my personal being, leaving unhealable scars AND wounds, after doing so, i start bashing my keyboard in this blind rage, trying to make a point out of nothing, since theres is no way im ever going to lose one of these millions of youtube discussions, im not stupid duh!

PS: i do not have 5 underaged asian girls lockd in my basement

  • @TheSpeaker0ftruth Calling Hip Hop lack Music is racist? How about when Asian call Martial Arts a "Chinese artform" or Canadians call Hockey a "Canadian Sport"? why is that not considered racist even though its "embraced" and practiced by others around the world?

  • @breezwonder i do not understand where youre going. theres no such thing as a canadian or chinese race, by the way, i too can throw pointless facts @ you ! did you know 99% of africa dont even know wtf rap music is? and most of em is black.

please make some more sense b4 coming back @ me

ps: i will always disagree with you when trying to tell me you can divide music in black/white, not saying you do, though in this context im getting a strong feeling.

  • @breezwonder

Nice come back , shows your intelligence level.

  • Ty so much for adding this...

  • yooo i need this instrumental

  • pics or it didn't happen

  • @hcalderon30

thats funny, they must be doing well as drug addicts... cuz their tour comes through vancouver bc on tuesday.

  • @CLOG604 i guess so but it was only smooth b i saw lol

  • @hcalderon30 So you you seen B buying crack, does that automatically make him a crackhead? I see the point you're trying to make and would agree, it'd be really hypocrit for him to record that IF he was on crack - but no, I don't think he was on crack back then. But really, even IF he is today, who are you to come on here and judge him? Judge the man for his music, or at least make a decent judgement.

  • This was my jam in middle school lol! damn so long ago... only beef was that this damn song is sooooo short 2:53! damn wish it was longer...

  • She got the best of me

    What was her destiny?

  • Damn, he was gonna shoot her for havin' a coke habit? that's kinda extreme. All time classic song though. The high point of their career. This was a great era.

  • u didnt listen to what he said she was spendin his money on cocaine and crashed his car

  • Dude I'd kill the bitch too if she'd take my money and crashed my car
