As others have mentioned already, it's the capacitors on the power supply motherboard. If anyone reading this has the same issues depicted in the video. Do yourself a favor and replace ALL 6 of them. I strongly discourage Radio Shack caps as they are not rated @ 105c. Only use Rubycon or Nichicon with either a 16v for the small 4 and 25 for the 2 larger caps.
Hey did u get this fixed? i have the same TV doing the same exact thing!!! How much did it cost? If u did actually fix....Im about to throw it out the window.
YES. I had mine fixed, it blew out a year after purchase, samsung would only fix the problem which they did, a guy came out and replaced the blown components
this was about a year ago. Lately i have noticed some clicks, and on occasion the fuzz. It just started recently, i hope it doesnt give out again. Because that is it, out of warranty.
30yr tv repair person told me all brands have these problems do to new technologies small compacitors not strong enough after upgrading my compacitors to a 25 volt instead of the 10 volt that was in my samsung no futher problems i believe if you SHELL OUT 1000 OR MORE FOR A TV AND DONT BUY AN EXTENDED WARRANTY its your own damn fault not the companys todays visit would have been 185 dollors through geek squad to fix. that was the cost of my WARRANTY !! IT PAID FOR ITSELF WITH 2 YRS REMAINING.
i was gonna buy a samsung lcd but now i'm starting to think twice, samsung is supposed to be one of the best brands but so many tv's are having problems, i don't wanna take a chance and buy one, perhaps sony or phillips, what you guys suggestion for a decent brand with a decent price
@MZLALA19 yeah i suppose but even with warranty, you have to practically go to hell and back before they replace or fix your tv, if gawd forbid something happens to it, things today aren't really made to last
YES, my samsung has the same problems! Google this and there are thousands of complaints. I posted my tv a few days ago-check out my picture that I paid a $2000.00 for!

Samsung 電視質數差到無人有, 一買翻黎就睇唔到, 打去永遠無人接, 成個星期都換唔到機, 華麗外表, 垃圾內涵!

10,000 Complaints about samsung and their JUNK tvs on the CONSUMER AFFAIRS SITE.
All other brand tvs have less than 1,000 complaints on this site.
Doesn't that tell you something ?

samsung uses cheap junk parts that burn out just after the warranty expires.

Does anybody else have this problem with their Samsung TV ??
answer: no!
dazze44 2 years ago
Could be a bad capacitor on the IP (power) board. You can buy new caps or buy the power board on ebay. Feel like taking a chance?
