I made one with my laptop screen, a webcam, some film negatives and some crappy software. all it costed me was having to steal and mod my brothers webcam, and hacking up a sharpie for the pen
lol yeah, setting up and calibrating the camera everytime its moved gets annoying. but there are alot of things you can do with this as opposed to a normal whiteboard
pros and cons. hopefully they can find a FOOLPROOF way to make it both user friendly and stable cause students can be itchy handed and start touching it.
there are a few ways to get around the problem of having your hand in the way, you could put the camera behind the screen, if the screen was thin enough or made of somewhat translucent glass or have 2 cameras pointed at the screen, havent found any software for the two cameras tho.

yea i have one of these at my school they are pretty useful and they have tons of extra tech that come with it
