I took a totally different approach. As many arrows to their face as I could land, then swords and shields till they died or I got bored, in which case I started whaling on them with my claymore. Sometimes, I healed, or used that fireball spell, but not really. They only started to do real damage to me in the Hero rank. Before that, it was just too easy. The Grand Champion forced me to eat some bread, and run away while spamming heal spell!

Look at his main quest walkthrough, he used the Sigil Stone from the first Oblivion gate to enchant his normal bow. The only problem with enchanted items and staffs is that charging them is a real pain.

yeh man, the arena walkthrough is actually his second oblivion walkthrough. gotta watch the main quest one first. it takes a long time, but its a great walkthrough. i think he does the dark brotherhood (assassins guild) walkthrough next.
