  • She roared to life alright! Seamed to be cleaning up nice just in the 40 seconds of video.

Now in my opinion, you need a nice old Hull to drop it in!~ <.<

  • clever bastards putting all the fuel pumps and shit in the cambax. Black as fuck!

  • correct me if i am wrong......are these type of engines used in large boats and vessels?, never saw that big of an engine

  • @SpiritsoftheWolf This is small by marine standards.

look for the Wartsila Sulzer RT96-C produces over 81K Kw

  • Bet she passes emission standards to!

  • Noisy as shit

  • chuck norris's pocket bike engine. hahahaha

  • Sounds good, especially considering it's age and the fact that its restoration is still a work in progress.

  • Love the 'blue rope'. My first boss once told me, 'never start an engine you don't know how to stop', simple words that have saved me a few times. Nice engine still sounds solid after near 80 years.

  • If you reckon that's good then have a look at a vid of 37901, class 37 powered by a mirlees blackstone putting out 1800hp!!!

  • @McMahon1985

old engines seem more interesting to me.

especially 1st diesel locos, like the ingersol rand loco of 1919 or there abouts, only 300hp I think, driver sat next to engine!

  • Ssssmokin!

  • Brilliant considering that this Mirrlees Bickerton & Day engine was manufactured in 1939
