Love the 'blue rope'. My first boss once told me, 'never start an engine you don't know how to stop', simple words that have saved me a few times. Nice engine still sounds solid after near 80 years.

If you reckon that's good then have a look at a vid of 37901, class 37 powered by a mirlees blackstone putting out 1800hp!!!

old engines seem more interesting to me.
especially 1st diesel locos, like the ingersol rand loco of 1919 or there abouts, only 300hp I think, driver sat next to engine!
