  • All the women I've been with disagree with you....

They very much like my meat :P

  • Eating meat does not make you manly. Eating meat usually implies that you are hungry and require your needed nutrition and energy for part of the day.

  • what the fuck does eating meat has to do with manliness ?

  • Imho nothing justifes being a man and being effeminate. gay or straight.

  • @madchild0709 Unless a person has some sort of very rare/ unusual disorder, -nobody- needs to eat the flesh of -any creature- to maintain a healthy diet. Nobody.

  • your argument about which side makes you a man is really stupid but most of the rest was true. thing is that not all meat is bad for you. the meat you speak of sounds more like cow. other meats such as wild bison are actually good for you.

  • If all this is true, then why are so many vegans gay? Not that that's a bad thing, and yes I know there are gay omnivores out there. But it seems per capita I've seen more gay vegans than gay omnivores.

  • you are only a real man if you have a sex or you are strong

  • Veggies only didn't save Steve Jobs from cancer...

  • @bl91978 Good idea! Completely ignore the statistics and big picture to focus on one single individual to justify your diet!

  • @VibrantVegan talks like a fag

  • if this represents people who dont eat meat then HELL YES eating meat makes you manly because @VibrantVegan is fucking feminen and tlks like a girl he looks like a woman who got a sex chang

  • Yes... It's true... Real men do eat meat.. Haven't you ever seen Seinfeld?

  • I hate your guts....Eating meat does make you manly but the way you eat meat makes you gay....L2P Noob

  • Also total myth saturated fat does not cloig up blood vessels total bs. Your body ulilizes saturated fat and cholsteral in the stomach then stores it in the liver. Cholsterole is needed for the production of cholesterol your body uses it to make vitamin d synthesis all around very important. Meat has it's downsides but it's hard to get around the nutrional benefits that we were designed to eat. 1000 years ago we did not havevit b supplements etc..

  • If your a vegan what do you eat pasta is loaded with carbs that causes a huge spike in insulin which lowers testosterone if your not active like a runner or basketball player because excercise helps the muslces utilize glycogen with our extra insulin. So what do you eat bean burritos baked beans fruit salad more bread nuts/ Only nuts such as cashews contaon fats that can regulate hormone levels such as testoterone fat is crucial so what do you eat?

  • You've really cleared the air bro, thanks.

  • Thank you for posting this! You have no idea how fed up I was getting with people spewing their bullshit about how vegans can't possibly be healthy and the only way to have a balanced diet is through animal products.

  • cientists hypothesize soy decreases male fertility because it contains chemicals that increase estrogen production in men, called phytoestrogens. Increased estrogen production may interfere with proper testosteronal and sperm production. Estrogen is essential for maintaining appropriate hormonal levels in the male reproductive system, but soy may overload the body with too much phytoestrogens. Scientists believe that it disrupts appropriate estrogen levels, decreasing male fertility.

  • @Darkromani That hypothesis has been debunked. They both have the word "estrogen" but phytoestrogens (plant estrogens) are not steroidal hormones like human estrogen and don’t affect humans the same as plants. The 3 kinds of phytoestrogens: isoflavones (in soy), lignans (in seeds, fruits and veggies), and coumestrol (broccoli, spinach, sprouts, and legumes) are all very good for the human body. If soy is bad for you because of phytoestrogens, then so are fruits, veggies, nuts, and grains.

  • I make people believe eating meats is manly so they can fall into my trap. Hehehehee Stupid sheeple.

  • im african canadian. africans eat a shitload of meat, and us canadians love our bacon

i eat meat as much as possible bitch, and i have no form of problem with my penis or prostate, and im oretty sure my testosteron is good.

  • @Ethiokarate1 You will notice it when you are older. You know, when the mid-life crisis starts to set in. hahaa

  • Maybe you should watch some Epic Meal Time.

  • I have never heard the statement "meat makes you manly" . I recomend you stop hanging out with stupid people or determine if they are just screwing with you.

If you are looking at health reasons we need to stop eating as much meat but going from one extreme to the other is not optimal either.

  • lol who said that meat makes you manly ? So if women eat meat it become hairy and muscular ? Meat is simply good for everything.

  • How would you know what makes a man a man?

  • I eat meat simply because it's all around me. Beef is in my spaghetti, it is in my tacos, and it is in my pizza. For the record, tacos can be just as good, if not better, with refried beans than with meat. Pizza, however, well, I love my pepperoni, okay? As long as I get exercise, balance the portions of what I eat, and try to stay away from unnecessary munching, I think I will be fine.

  • In all honesty, I don't know what to believe or who to believe anymore. Let's just call it a preference.

  • Im an 18 year old vegan girl who will still give head. lol

  • And not necessarily true about the Erectile dysfunction and heart attack. Some people have poor circulation to their extremities like in diabetes. Obviously, some one with diabetes is not in good health but you get my point that ed can be brought on by various things.

  • I don't think eating meat makes you more manly but I think eating no meat makes you less manly. And I am mainly speaking testosterone here. Every vegan male I have seen has a light voice, particularly the younger ones (not pre puberty but one's in their 20's and 30's). They also have small frames and very little muscle (there are a few exceptions to this). But I like you vibrant vegan, you seem to have only good intensions so I am not going to rip on you in particular.

  • that's a really dumb statement, to say that meat makes you manly. but i also think it's really dumb to not eat meat. if you eat meat in a well balanced diet, you'll be fine. but if you eat nothing but meat like the Eskimos, of course you'll have health issues, it's common sense.

  • This explains how so many monks who are vegan can do much more than a average meat consumer...meat just slows everything down you got cause the meat stays longer in your intestines which means usual meat eaters are more full of shit than vegans hahahahahaha nah I ain't hatin on no one but hey just try to be healthy.

  • I am now for 1 year vegetarian (no vegan)...and my penis goes like this III III mIIIm

I really feel great. I didn't notice it, but as you talk about it...seems to be true

  • @greenwoodonearth

ups...my penis got crunched by youtube

    ???

  • @CrystalStarrBell He has a daughter called Eris. It's obvious (from the resemblance) that he is the father. Whether he's gay or not, I doubt it but he can obviously father a daughter.

  • If you took 20 seconds to look at the heart association entry vegetarian diets that would be cool. You should also google estrogen and soya beans!!! ;). We are not fruit eaters, we my have evolved from fruit eaters. Its possible to be a healthy vegan. I agree. heart association includes plant fats in the danegerous cat; saturated fats are saturated fats.

  • Hi, I don't eat meat to be "more manly". I eat meat because it tastes good. My cat agrees with me,

  • Fuck Vegans :)

  • @jamal5246500 Thanks for the smiley face.

  • @jamal5246500 FUCK VEGANS! :-p THey are like monkeys listen to Zizek god dammit! :-p watch?v=_TqyKsnQD38

  • @Aeythvaenn

Go fuck your mom upside down in a pool of shit, fuckin tart.

  • @Se7enElement That comment really shows your lack of intelligence

  • @Aeythvaenn Well I never asked you so I guess you can shove it in. Besides it takes one to know one and it seems like your getting to know one. I never said I was intelligent, am just experienced. If your claim is so righteous then prove am not intelligent. It's easier just to sit there and type words away instead of throwing raw intel at people's faces. Fuck with it cause am just bored.

  • @jamal5246500

    Fuck Morons ;)

  • @jamal5246500 eat my cock

  • @jamal5246500 I see the depth of your spirit when I read your superb argument... sigh...

At least tell us why you hate us!

A vegan and proud of it.

  • @jamal5246500 Awww little insecure are we?

  • @jamal5246500 From the statistcs, Jamal, you may not be able to fuck vegans -- at least not always at will. Go vegan.

  • @jamal5246500 Actually dude that isn't a bad piece of advice for the ladies as vegetarians + vegans heat only a fraction of the cholesterol that meat eaters do (extending their lives by years) and making them better sexual partners. Why? More cholesterol= more constricted blood vessels= less physically capable in both sports and bed.

  • Awesome video! I'm a vegetarian of about 2 years since I was 15. Once you learn the facts you realize how absurd our dietary concepts are. Mythology runs wild in the world of diet and meat has so many wives tales surrounding it! Want protein? Eat grains, nuts, beans, rice , for a vegetarian dairy. But beans, grains and rice and lowest calorie with highest amounts of protein. B12? It's called milk, dairy in general or supplements. Jack Lalane was the first ever real American Bodybuilder, vegan.

  • @ValkyereHowie Yes I've been vegetarian all my life. The b12 and protein deficiency is quite a big myth. Most people dont even know how much protein they need daily. Frankly meat eaters feel guilty about eating meat. Check out this video. /watch?v=MzXlsTKndGA

  • @haridham The imaginary health risks they create are a good excuse, a way to justify eating meat, this means deep down, maybe only subconsciously, they feel bad for eating meat! I think people don't realize just how healthy vegetarian is. And why would vegetarians live longer if it's unhealthy? Nice to hear from someone who is logical Haridham!

  • Sticking to your topic, I do think that some men might consider being vegan to be a little less manly. Of course one has nothing to do with the other. My comments were directed more at the negative aspects of meat in your video and how many studies show that it isnt the case. Really, the number one reason would be obesety. Someone can be obese eating pasta and sweets the same as someone who chooses to consume too much meat. Balance, portions and exercise are more critical than anything.

  • @svtcuntour triple posting! what a boring cunt you are....lol....

your just a wimpy little pedo..........

  • @svtcontour+TROLL=BORING TRIPLE POST BORING CUNT...LOL....

  • @svtcUntour= Lionel Cosgrove..lol.......

  • @DJJEFFCLIVEISATROLL At least have some respect for the owner of this page and dont swear.

  • @svtcuntour= Lionel Cosgrove.....lol.......I have respect for the owner of this page and not you, you boring pedo cunt troll....lol....

  • @svtcontour you like eating man meat....lol....or should that child meat you pedo...lol...

  • @DJJEFFCLIVEISATROLL says the guy that had his old account closed down.

  • @svtcontour lol......er ok? Lionel Cosgrove....lol.......thats my mother your pissing on...lol.....you have none of the 3 in this video.....

  • @svtcontour u r feeding the troll

  • @truevoiceofsanity Ya I realize now that there is no way to argue with someone who is trolling and that ignoring them is the best solution.

  • @svtcontour troll feeder.

  • I should mention that in the wild, some other primates do sometimes consume meat. Meat (especially raw) containes lots of vitamins, minerals and enzymes as well as the saturated fats (which is not even a problem) . There are so many studies that show that saturated fat is not an evil. We just dont need to be eating pounds of it. Its about balance. BTW most of the meats we typically buy are grain fed sources - bad. Grass fed animals are the better choice if one chooses to consume any meats.

  • I dont think heart disease is caused by animal products or saturdated fats. If it was, then eskimos and Maasai would be dropping like flies and they do not. Studies time and time again have shown they have low rates of heart disease despite their high saturated fat diet.

The majority of heart disease comes from high sugar content and the processing of foods and the lack of excercise. Vegans who eat processed foods and lots of sugar and sit on their butt will also get cardiovascular disease.

  • @svtcontour Wishful thinking! Eskimos and Maasai have some of the shortest lifespans on the planet. Read "Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease" Even sedentary vegans have lower rates of CVD than active meat eaters. Humans have no nutritional requirement for meat. Meat doesn't make you healthy.

  • @VibrantVegan I should have said "they would be dropping like flies DUE to heart disease" They are dying sooner due to harsher conditions and lack of health care.

Meat in its raw state from healthy hormone free animals contain enzymes that help break it down. Its the cooking of foods that is really the problem. Saturated fats do not automatically sit on the artery walls btw. Sugars and carbs and insulin spikes cause most of the damage therefore refined foods are the problem.

  • @VibrantVegan apparently vegans (according to one of the vid reponses to your vid) get more stomach cancer. Eskimo's don;t have a balanced diet. In addition. they live in poverty under poor living conditions.

  • @VibrantVegan Because of their conditions of life were very harsh, its not like people today are staving off freezing cold weathers and living in igloos, we have much nicer things, but if we put Eskimos on the same diet that most Americans eat their life spans would be even shorter.

  • @VibrantVegan If you have ten people die at birth and ten die at age 90, the average life expectancy is still only 45 years. The Masai have such a high neonatal mortality rate is because of a traditional belief that if Masai women eat less food during pregnancy they will have smaller babies.

  • @VibrantVegan well we are omnivours for a reason, we dont have to eat meat, but we can and we have the ability to benifit from its nutrients and protiens, jus tlike eatiing lentils or beans

  • @VibrantVegan

What about actually linking to the research you claim this comes from.

I feel like it's not really based on facts.

But let's just say that vegans actually have less problems like cardiovascular disease and whatnot, where is the proof that this is because of their diet.

I'm pretty sure if you would research it it would turn out that vegans overall live healthier lives then meat-eaters, as in less smoking, drinking, more exercise and whatnot, who's to say that isn't the cause.

  • @VibrantVegan neither does being a vegan. everyones nutritional requirements are different.

  • @VibrantVegan Eskimos and Maasai have short lives because they eat meat? really? And next you're gonna tell us that the fact that they live and extreme climates where it's hard to merely survive does not count.

  • @svtcontour the heart association disagrees ...

  • @truevoiceofsanity they certainly do :)

  • @svtcontour Actually from my understanding Eskimos are dropping like flies not to mention they get kicked out by different governments all the way to green land or alaska. The "eskimos" still eat veges look it up in wiki if you don't believe me. There not called eskimos anymore there Inuits I know cause I lived in Alaska for three years.

  • Just the kind of stuff I like to talk about! check out my blog sometime

  • It is a fallacy to compare SAD'ers and put that as a standard to compare it with vegan diet wich is obviously healthier that a SAD (with all the crap they eat and chemicals and hormones etc). Compare people on a vegan diet with hunter gatherer groups in the world or other peoples who have been eating the way they do for thousands of years.

  • @Aeythvaenn Compared to hunter/gatherers)h/g's), people who eat a whole food, high-raw, organic, varied diet are healthier. H/g's are much healthier than junk food vegans or SAD'ers. Something the h/g's didn't have that we do is the benefit of nutritional research (we know which foods are healthiest for humans) and year around availability of the healthiest human foods.

  • @VibrantVegan Evidence please...there is a lot of evidence provided by loren cordain and anthropologists that most of the HG by far are omnivorous and aare very helathy my common sense is making an alarm when i hear this too, b/c HG eat the diet that they eat for thousands of years, maybe more

  • @Aeythvaenn Evolution is the evidence. Loren Cordain and other Paleo types only look back 40-60thousand years as evidence of what humans should eat. What our ancestors ate 60k years ago is quite different than what our ancestors ate 23 million years ago or even 150k years ago. We largely have the anatomy and physiology of our folio-frugivore ancestors. While humans can and do eat meat is doesn't mean we need it or that it is healthy for us.

  • @VibrantVegan Ah right, so all of the hunter gatherer societies that live today and have been eating like this have strayed from the path of true diet? If you look at the facts: vegans cant get a serious omega 3 source from plants naturally, active b-12 is only obtainable by eating other animals. And science tells us that our species have been eating meat since 2,4 million years ago. You can say what you want and tell me that 23 million years ago we didnt. What counts is evolutoin and that

  • @Aeythvaenn Did you know Omega 3 fats are the most abundant fat on the planet?(See the book:The Queen of Fats: Why Omega-3s Were Removed from the Western Diet and What We Can Do to Replace Them) n-3 fatty acids are in green leafy plants and since plants are more abundant than animals n-3's are the most abundant fat on the planet. Vegans and anyone else who eats greens can get all the n-3's they need.

  • @Aeythvaenn Active B12 is available to anyone who eats dirt as that is where the bacteria who make live. Animals don't make B12, they eat bacteria who do-same goes for humans. Humans omnivorism is behavioral, not biological. We have no nutritional requirement for animal flesh. We have evolved the ability to eat anything--not the requirement for flesh.

  • @VibrantVegan lol you got no scientific proof there bud.

  • @Aeythvaenn Adding to the wire reply you got from Vibrant Vegan, one can also get B-12 in sublingual liquid form. Works as good as the injected form. The doc wouldn't tell me that; I had to find our on my own, on the Net. Imagine that.

Don't buy into the myths and lies of greedy industry!!!

  • @meloearth I think that is a bit gratuitous, as if nobody is making money off those sublingual liquid forms? The point you vegans have to be honest about is that you dont choose to be vegan because it is natural (because it isnt, how hard you or vibrantvegan denies it) but because you think it is moral. No stone ager had those injected things, no stone ager couild have good B12 without eating meat, no stone ager could get enough omega 3's without eating fish etc. but well you vegans keep denying

  • @Aeythvaenn It's 2010. I don't know any stone ager. I'm really talking about NOW. People are fatter and sicker than ever in the USA. Make the connection.

  • @meloearth I know and i can make 'the' connection. I agree with you that a lot of people eat processed shit. I am just saying that going vegan is not based on evolution since man has evolved in being omnivore and there is plenty evidence for that. You make a false dichotomy. It isnt either vegan or the sad SAD diet but there are also other ways.

  • @Aeythvaenn Omnivorism describes behavior not necessity. Humans have no nutritional requirement for the flesh of animals or their mammary secretions. Humans are dietary generalist. From an evolutionary standpoint being generalist made us successful. Modern research shows us that human thrive(live long, disease free lives) when they eat a whole food plant-based diet.

  • @VibrantVegan You just keep spreading false information don't you? HUMANS ARE OMNIVORES BECAUSE OF NATURE not behaviour. It is like talking to christians here...dogmatic and makes me feel like im talking to a wall. You hardly go into my arguments and just spew out your dogma wich have hardly any ground in reality

  • @Aeythvaenn There is, in fact, no such taxonomic classification as omnivore. Look it up. Humans are primates. We are generalists capable of exploiting plants and animals for food. Did you know that Pandas are in the class Carnivora? They are. Yet they eat only bamboo. We humans can eat anything we choose. I make the moral, ethical and health choice to eat only plant foods. You could too. You are not obligated by your evolutionary inheritance to eat animals. You choose to.

  • @VibrantVegan (continued) might have been eating fruits and foilage, we EVOLVED into omnivoressince like i said 2,5 million years ago and that we have adapted to it (B12 etc). Maybe you want to rationalise what you think is moral but objectively humans are now, have evolved into being omnivores.

  • @VibrantVegan sorry for my english im not a native speaker :)

  • @VibrantVegan You are saying this, that organic food is "healthier", based on what authority? What research backs your claim?

  • @Aeythvaenn Hunter gatherers don't typically have healthy diets.

  • @truevoiceofsanity Vegans don't have healthy diets

  • @Aeythvaenn I believe, its possible to have a healthy diet that is Vegan. I don't think being vegan or arganic implies being healthy. HG people tend to follow Atkins style diets lol. The've evolved sligtly to handle tha diet but its not optimal for us.

  • @truevoiceofsanity If you read any science or less, then you would know that HG are in very good health. The lesser example would be from price. And by the way: like us with our modern medicine, HG can't afford to eat bad, that would mean their demise. And if you look at anthropological evidence humans would have eaten meat for certain. Humans have evolved to eat it whether you will keep denying that or not. If you wanne be vegan you need to supplment to stay healthy at least.

  • @Aeythvaenn What science are you referring to? Be specific. Reputible journals preferred.

  • Our instinct isn't to eat meat. We are culturally conditioned to eat meat. If it were your instinct you would salivate at the thought of freshly killed animals. Humans evolved from folio-frugivores(leaf and fruit eaters). We began eating other animals to survive.

  • @VibrantVegan I'm not sure why we evolved to eat meat but evolve we did.

  • Its a personal choice, your almost as bad as a fucking christian spreading the good news. Leave people to their business and we'll leave yours alone.

  • @HyTechSoul A main difference being that I am giving you verifiable information about how your choices impact your health. "Eat lots of animal parts and their secretions and you are more likely to have erectile dysfunction due to cardiovascular disease," Is not a faith-based claim. You can verify it yourself by doing a little research.

  • @VibrantVegan Well its not generally meat that is a cause of cardiovascular disease, its the way you prepare it. Saturated fats aren't horrible for you, in fact they hardly do much at all. Its the trans fats that lower your good cholesterol and higher your bad cholesterol. Those can be also found in greases to cook meats.

  • @HyTechSoul . You are right trans fats are a bad deal. And, regardless of what the marketing message is from the meat industry, so is pumping your arteries full of saturated fat. Meat, regardless of how it is prepared damages blood vessels. Look high and low and you won't find a peer reviewed study on the cardio-protective effects of meat consumption.

  • @VibrantVegan Well back to a little argument : Why does everyone and everyone mostly ever did eat meat and why is it our instinct to east meat? Im sure we were made to kill ourselves and give ourselves cardiovascular disease.

  • @VibrantVegan

Recently they found out that grass fed cows are actually very healthy and have high omega 3 which is good for the heart. The problem is most cows today are fed corn and other things which is not their natural foods, so their fats become unhealthy and that passes onto humans. Another point, your body needs cholesterol, your liver makes most of it, the food you eat that contain cholesterol has only a minimal affect on your bodys cholesterol. continued...

  • @VibrantVegan

continued...the real problem is adding too much calcium to the cholesterol mix. Cholesterol itself isn't deadly or bad for you. Infact its good for you, thats why your body makes most of it. But when you add too much calcium it makes them become calcified and easier prone to breakage leading to a heart attack. Most people who died from heart attacks from high cholesterol also had highly calcified arteries caused by caclium buildups. Check your calcium score with a catscan ofheart

  • just worried about my soy consumption... i'm cutting it down.. by the way, what do you think is the safe consumption limit..?

  • nice video.. I'm a new vegan, and I have got lots to learn... I have a question though... I have been consuming lots of soy products... I typically drink about 1 liter soymilk daily to get my protein... been doing this for approximately 4years... I'm 22years now... I'm slightly worried about being emasculated.. I'm cutting down on my soy consumption.... so far I have not experienced any symptoms that they claim about excessive soy.. but just curious.. advice me, please... thank you....

  • @therockana Thanks for the comments. Getting enough protein is a cultural obsession fueled by fear based marketing. Soy products(which may be emasculating in large quantities) have been marketed heavily to vegans as a meat replacement for getting adequate protein. BUT, since meat consumption is unnecessary it doesn't require a replacement. You can get all the protein you need without consuming any soy. Eating a varied, whole food, vegan diet and you will meet your protein needs.

  • @therockana Protein deficiency in unheard of in industrialized countries. Without looking it up, can you think of the symptoms of protein deficiency? Human breast milk which is species specific for growing a baby during its greatest period of growth and development is between 7-10% protein. As long as you are meeting your caloric needs, it would be almost impossible not to get enough protein from a whole food vegan diet.

  • @VibrantVegan : yes, I'm not really worried about protein defiency.. I'm worried about my past overconsumption of soy. and I'm not from industrialised country... I live in Singapore, where veganism is still relatively new... proper vegan food are hard to come by here. most of the processed food is not vegan, and almost all of the health products are non-vegan.I'm just looking for a reliable protein source other than soy, I'm 22yrs, 70kg, 5'6.. been vegan for 4years.

  • Your concerns about meat consumption are addressed by a YouTube video called "Paleo in a Nutshell" Part 1. Grass-fed mammals and wild-caught fish are nature's perfect food. Grain-fed mammals and farmed fish represent the sorry legacy of agri-business and can definitely lead to health problems. If you are interested in evolutionary science and nutrition (and how humans became humans) check out Robb Wolf's upcoming book, "The Paleolithic Solution."

  • I was expecting you to argue that the well-being of animals are more important than cultural gender norms, but instead you chose to play to men's insecurities about not being "manly enough." Ironically, the only people who would fall for this gimmick are the ones with the least self-confidence and independence, which are both "manly traits." Very unconvincing and logically empty argument on your part.

  • @incredulosity : I don't think he did this to "recruit" more vegans.. This video serves to debunk the myth of manliness in meat eating... there are many logical reasons we can use to argue in favor of veganism... you can't fit everything in a video... perhaps the video maker could state the purpose clearly... :)

  • @incredulosity Thanks for your comments. This video is all about cultural gender norms. Men in our society are conditioned to think eating meat is a requirement for masculinity. My video demonstrates that this belief is a myth. The very things that make men masculine(testosterone, penis) are adversely impacted by consuming animal flesh. By practicing our male dietary cultural norms men are unknowingly emasculating themselves.

  • @VibrantVegan My argument was that emasculating oneself isn't inherently negative, and that your video came across as trying to promote the same skewed values that may cause some men to eat meat.

  • @VibrantVegan Moreover, after reading the information posted on your website, I'm having doubts about the credibility of your claims. For one, you claim that diet accounts for difference in testosterone levels in between US men and those from other countries. However, there are many dietary differences that are unrelated to meat consumption: Americans are more likely to be overweight, which which is known to reduce testosterone levels significantly.

  • @VibrantVegan Being overweight also puts one at a greater risk for health complications you listed, such as cardiovascular disease and erectile dysfunction. Essentially what I'm trying to convey is that correlation doesn't imply causation; you may think that higher rates of eating meat cause these health problems when it is really related to something only indirectly related to meat consumption.

  • watching this made me want a pork chop :)

  • i eat meat, cause meat tastes good. sue me.

  • @shadow271992 you eat meat because you have been culturally conditioned to, and because you are emotionally attached to the practice.

  • @VibrantVegan and you don;t eat meat because you are culturally conditioned not to and emotionaly unattached.

  • meat taste good :|

  • I do think we eat too much meat but there's no need to totally eliminate meat from your diet. I follow a plant-based diet with modest amounts of animal foods, similar to the makeup of most asian diets. Vegans do not live longer in fact most centenarians eat meat. Check out the New England Centenarian Study. The longest lived people, the Okinawans, consume a plant-based diet supplemented with fish and pork. Diet is not the "all-or-nothing" proposition that vegans would have us believe.

  • You are so cool!

At first with the close head shot I was like :O

But then you came out with all these facts and you have a natural speaking talent! Wooh, you represent mann! I'm vegan (9 months so far) and I'm SO subscribing!

    Be vibrant!!

  • No, you are right! it does not make you more manly! but at least it does not turn you into a fucking pussy!

  • I Loveee meat and dairy, but it is true about the hormones in them...not good.there needs to be more people selling organic/natural products....then i could eat meat without being "imasculinized" lol

  • Oh shut your whore mouth. VibrantVegan is a fag who doesn't know shit about manliness. Proof that he's a fag? He has fucking Penis and erection in his tags.

Chuck Norris and Maddox are the manliest men ever, and they eat meat. And Maddox fucking HATES vegetarian asshole.

  • @TheAmazingTmann chucknorris has some odd beliefs

  • Does being a vegan turn videobloggers turn into psycho's?

  • Very touching. Now, if you'll excuse me, my ham and cheese Hot Pockets are ready.

  • @NinjaGhostScorpion lol! Tell em bro! As a vegan, of course controversial nonsense like "vegans have higher testosterone levels than meat eaters" will come out of his mouth. That is a completely false study that I wouldn't be surprised if he fabricated himself.

  • you know if you quit eating meat you will get a bad case of vaginatis and your turn into one great big pussy

  • @bruner3441 People like you prove my point-thank you! You have been thoroughly conditioned by our culture to associate meat eating with masculinity. You don't eat animals because it makes you strong or more manly, you eat animals because you are emotional attached to the concept. You eat meat because you are afraid not to, afraid of what your friends and family would think of you. You are afraid to choose health and compassion. Pathetic!

  • What up Derrick? Long time.....Hope all is well with you and the family.. Pretty good point you made on the brain evolution theory.. Also, as a side note don't forget the invent of fire, making meat easier to eat and also to digest, in turn bringing many important nutrients to the body brain.. Take care buddy!!

  • @1957stan Hey Stan! Good to hear from you. All is well with me and family. We had a long rainy winter here in the Pacific Northwest and are now spending as much time as we can in the sun. Yes, indeed, good point regarding fire. Brain evolution was and still is the result of multiple interacting causes and conditions and fire is a biggie. I hope you are having a great summer Stan. Talk to you soon.

  • love it! You are a very manly lol. Thanks for this !

Fortified breakfast cereals are a particularly valuable source of vitamin B12 for vegetarians and vegans. In addition, adults age 51 and older are recommended to consume B12 fortified food or supplements to meet the RDA, because they are a population at an increased risk of deficiency.

  • To quote Wiki (the easiest source) -

The Vegan Society, the Vegetarian Resource Group, and the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, among others, recommend that vegans either consistently eat foods fortified with B12 or take a daily or weekly B12 supplement.

  • @TheSauronator Better safe than sorry is the philosophy even though B12 deficiency in the vegan community is lower than it is in society in general.

  • BTW thats just another proof that humans are not "fructivores" or herbivores. If we would produce B12 in our digestive system (through fruit, root or herb consumption) - we truly would have no need to eat meat. But we dont - and its a scientific fact. So we are natural omnivores. Sorry to break it to ya, but biologists didnt say otherwise. And I tend to trust them more than you crazy fanatic vegans.

  • @TheSauronator We harbor B12 producing bacteria in our mouths and large intestines. You must have been sleeping that day in biology class. Humans have the digestive anatomy and physiology of fructivores thanks to our Miocene ancestors. Sorry to break it to you but human are built for a plant-based diet. The consumption of small amounts of animal flesh isn't going to kill you--but why do it when you don't need to?

  • @VibrantVegan

No biologist in their right mind would say that humans are fructivores. Modern Science says we are omnivores - period. I wasnt sleeping in my biology class - so I remember that. And I doubt that something's changed in 10 years since I've been in school.

Dont need? Well if you are the sole human being that produces all the elements contained in meat in himself enough to survive - then you might be right...

  • @TheSauronator Have you asked a primatologist? We are primates after all. We have a digestive anatomy and physiology more like a chimps than a dogs(whom biologists classify as an omnivore) It turns out you are just totally clueless. All humans synthesize their own vitamin D when skin is exposed to sun. Look it up. Fish get B12 from eating other fish that eat plants that are covered with B12 producing bacteria.. Bacteria don't become B12, they produce it.

  • @VibrantVegan

Oldest human and primate ancestors, were omnivores, and while other primates switched to mostly herbivore lifestyle (chimps are still omnivores, but they prefer plants and fruit) - human ancestors had a very complex diet. Some biologists even tend to think this particular diet brought us up to the state of evolution wer're in now.

The qyestion was - do you produce ENOUGH vitamin D or B12 by yourself wihtout the need of consuming it? I dont think so...

  • @TheSauronator Obviously you don't know your human evolution very well. Chimps are physiologically and anatomically fructivores(just like you) The fact that they sometimes eat other mammals(less than 4% of their calories per year) doesn't change their biology. Every human has the capability of producing more than enough vitamin D-look it up, please, this is getting tiresome. We are capable of consuming enough B12 producing bacteria to meet our needs-whether you think so or not.

  • @derrickdelay cite some research and more specifically, cite research about humans. we are not chimps. we didn't evolve from chimps. we do have a common ancestor with chimps

  • @TheSauronator Single cause theories of encephalization are idiotic at best and intellectually dishonest at worst. The brains of Homo grew larger in response to myriad environmental pressures-puzzles of survival that required more gray matter. By your single cause theory you would expect carnivores to have the largest brains-they don't. The animals with the largest brain to body ratios are those that live in the most complex social structures.

  • @VibrantVegan

"The animals with the largest brain to body ratios are those that live in the most complex social structures"

... which happen to all be omnivorian and carnivorian: dolphins, chimps, baboons, ... even the "gentle" gorilla has been found to consume insects along with his plants. Pack hunters require more brain matter than any other social structure, as they need to devise strategies, and, by excelling in preying on other animals, humanity rose to the apex of the animal kingdom.

  • @VibrantVegan if no one eats meat do you know what that will cause feilds will have to be plowed for vegetation which will cause less habitats for animals and many buinesses will fall causing loss of jobs.If this isnt enough the animals you take about eat themselves as well are you saying that animals shouldnt eat each other i dont think uoi have the right to say what should happen in any food chain as humans are animals i shouldnt have to remind anyone of this

  • @TheSauronator - Vitamin D ideally comes from SUN. Vitamin B12 used to be found in natural foods from gained from th soil. But with current farming methods, this is no longer the case. But anyway, evolution is just a THEORY. I choose to believe in Creation. According to the Bible, the original diet given to humans was a vegan one, and that has been shown by science to be the healthiest.

  • @VibrantVegan enviro-vegan-organo-californian religion aside do you actually have scientific research (peer reviewed published in scientific journals) supporting your claim that meat isn't part of a healthy balanced diet for humans?

  • Today the healthiest of the peoples are those who eat fish, meat and milk. Why is that? Even the healthiest of you vegans cannot even compare to them. They dont need artificial vitamin-injected chemical concoctions to compensate for some elements, they dont suffer defficiancies, they look better, they age very slow, they are active.

That is just because they live their natural lifestyle, and dont need idiotic quasi-moral cult ideologies to tell them what to do to live a healthy life...

  • @TheSauronator The healthiest people eat a mostly plant-based diet. See the book "Blue Zones" for the longest lived people and what they eat. You are 100% correct that people who eat whole foods and are active look better and age more slowly than those that don't. Health isn't just about what one eats. Exercise, a sense of purpose, and a sense of belonging to a broader community are essential as well.

  • There is no such thing as opportunistic omnivores. Cattle cannot be opportunistic herbivores, wolves cannot be opportunistic carnivores.

You cant shift that easily from one to another.

  • @TheSauronator When our fruit eating ancestors left their arboreal life behind and began living in the mosaic grassland they became opportunistic omnivores. They began eating other animals, not because they required it for any specific nutrients, but for survival--for calories. Humans aren't herbivores like cows, they are fructivores, fruit eaters, like other primates. You have no nutritional requirement for animal flesh--eating meat is a choice, not a nutritional obligation.
