  • Beautiful this what Karl Marx had in mind

  • Where do you download this song. oh and hail the People's republic of china

  • @fenghuaxikou go in the United Sucks of Ameri-ass if you don't like PRC. DUMBASS!!!!

  • I love China and the people but i fucking hate the government.

  • Wow I really hope i can go to China one day!

  • Awesome version.

  • @fenghuaxikou Idiot.

  • What about the 60 million dead from Mao's rule. I have a few friends from China and they don't want to go back because of the pain and suffering their families and friends endured in the cultural revolution. It may not compare to the deaths of 10 million Ukrainians under ONE year of Stalin's tyranical reign over their country, but still that is a lot of corpses to bury. As I see the US repeating mistakes of our past, on a much larger scale of course, I begin to see some dark days ahead for us 2!

  • 更符合当代精神,做国歌 挺好的!听着听着,对祖国深沉的爱让我总是噙着泪。同时感觉浑身有劲,斗志昂扬。

  • 中国万岁! 中国人民万岁!

    //俄罗斯

  • Today's China is not the Great China of the time this song was written, Wake up comrades the CCP has destroyed chinese socialism, remeber what President Mao said "there's not construction without destruction" destroy this corrupted capitalist government and come back on socialist way, remember of Tienamen 1989, the student's wonted to destroy socialism they were aganist the stalinofascist and capitalist government of Deng, with the "socialist market" the rich are richest and pour are pourest!

  • @MrBrozinsky so u want china to be like north korea and a lot of people die year by year fo using socialist idea do u know how much food that the CCP will feed 1.3 billion stomach

  • @sokata96shisuju no, you misunderstood my friend. I think this: the PRC is nothing else but a capitalistic North Korea. Think about this: in a "socialist" country you haven't got freedom of speech, freedom to elect the person you want etc.. in a word you haven't got any democratic right but the government gives you home, job, food and other things to survive. In a capitalist country (Usa for example) the state don't give you nothing and you have to be exploited by the rich... (1)

  • @sokata96shisuju (2) but you have freedom to talk and to contest what government does, to vote speech etc... In China , economically speaking, there's the typical exploitation of the capitalistic system and, politically speaking, the typical oppression of a stalinist system. I'm not a Maoist (despite the fact that i'm communist and what i wrote before), i think he's been a great man in the first part of his life but after revolution he did a lot of mistakes.

  • Tibet is like the Imperialism say it need protection n uneducated

  • 這首歌曲做國歌更好!

  • @tiezi00 ha! Of course I know this! ... & I only said that because today Tibetans want to be free from china...

  • Okay... For those who don't know... Tibet TODAY is part of China... But, historically, it wasn't... Yes, the culture is somewhat similar, but the language is different and so are the people... Tibet is only part of china today because the Communists CLAIMED it... Yup

  • @nlosborne

How rediculous you are, ShangHai has a different language from Manderin, so ShangHai is not part of China. Do you know how many different local languages in China? do you know how many different languges in India, how many different languages in Philipin...etc. Tibet is always a part of China even though they have a different language but all of them speak Manderin too.

  • @tiezi00 Shanghai is part of China.

    为社么你很笨?

  • @tiezi00

Tibet has not always been part of China, unlike Shanghai. It was forcibly annexed by Mao's army, and even today, many Tibetans want to be independent from Chinese rule.

  • @EuphrasieF There are 5million Tibetans. If they all rise up, then the government won't be able to contain it. The Tibetans you speak of are the bitter descendents of former 1% ruling elites and high level monk class who had their slave labor society overthrown by China. They are now supported by various anti-china organization around the world to manipulate this into a human right issue, when human right did not exist in Tibet to begin with.

  • @TelpPov

The 2010 Census claims there are 3 million residents of Tibet, not 5 million. Two million down. A further 10 percent of those 3 million belong to non-Tibetan ethnic groups. So that's another 300,000 or so less. Now, out of the roughly 2,700,000 Tibetans living in China, you would have to also subtract the elderly and young children. Children under 14 are 16% of the total population of China, so if the same is true in Tibet, 2.7 million * 16% is 432,000.

    To be continued

  • @TelpPov

2,700,000 minus 432,000 is 2,268,000. The elderly (age 60 and older) are 13% of total population of China. Applying that estimate to Tibet, 2,700,000 *0.13= 351,000. So now we're down to just over 1.9 million Tibetans between the ages of 15 and 59. The Chinese Army, on the other hand, has 3 million members.

  • @TelpPov

So, in essence, your assertion that the Tibetan population could secede from China if they wanted to is highly doubtful.

  • @EuphrasieF no, your assertion is that majority wants to secede, to become what? another hell hole of human suffering? a fest of internal power struggle like all the former colonies of the West in Africa and Middle East? Most of Tibetans know, under the support of greater China, Tibet can enjoy steady development on all sides.

  • @TelpPov

My assertion was not that the majority would want to secede - I really don't know either way. My assertion was that Tibet was annexed by force in the 1950s.

  • @TelpPov

As for colonialism - whatever the benefits or drawbacks of colonial administrations may be, the fact is that lots of the African countries you refer to actively chose relative poverty with self determination over relative prosperity with foreign control over their countries.

  • @EuphrasieF There was neither liberty nor prosperity in Africa as the resources were sucked away to Europe. That's why independence was the only way. China in contrast has poured in billions to develop the area. The average life span in 1950 was 35 and 65 in 2000. What you see is a portion of them still clinching to the old ways and want to be isolated and left alone by the rest of the world. It's like an extreme version of Indian reservations here in the U.S.

  • Wow

  • I play a cover of this song with my band, except we change the lyrics so the song is called "Government is an unnecessary evil".

  • wow this sounds alot different than the one in beijing olympics, this song has really changed over the years based on how people saw it, back then people had like a die-hard tone to it like i want you dead cuz thats one part of the lyrics.

  • @MrBigEnchilada

    It's a catchy tune.

  • JIA YOU ZHONG GUO!

  • china is such a beautiful and diverse country

  • 卐 Ode to Fatherland! 卐

How is this orgiastic brainwashing any different?

  • @gabrielg01 China is officially a secular state, your use of the buddhist swastika does not really fit in

  • @saigonpunkid

I don't think that was a reference to Buddhist symbolism. Out of curiosity, what country are you from? (Are you from Vietnam, as your name suggests?)

  • I'm proud to be a Chinese! Jia You!

  • I wonder if all the millions who starved to death under Chairman Mao Tse-Tung like the motherland crap and all the erased dynasties? China is a one dimensional country and it always will be.

  • @georgeplante49 The Party is changing, but slow.

  • @georgeplante49 That was in the war time... please go and study Chinese history

  • @Guanyu1kill

There was no war going on inside China during most of Mao's era. (The Chinese did fight in Korea and Vietnam, but those conflicts weren't fought on Chinese ground.)

  • @EuphrasieF

Mao set the Chinese at war with themselves.

  • I think the Chinese have every right to be proud of their country, warts and all. It's not like any other major power hasn't gotten to where they are without stepping on a few toes or subjugating or destroying a few peoples. All the European powers did, the USA did, Russia did, etc. etc. It was wrong in all instances, but let's try to make things better now.

  • Very professional presentation.. Very patriotic. Congratulations to China for super Olympics and may they continue to prosper and become modern country.

  • Also, just because you people say it seems Western, even though it's not, we will always trace our roots back to 5000 years ago. America is incomparable to China.

  • Tibet will always be part of China. It only became a global controversy when USA and Uk stuck their dirty noses into Chinese politics and tried to stir crap. I'm Chinese but I was born in America. I'm liberal but I will always put China first in my heart. Even if I don't like Communism, I appreciate Mao Zedong and his glorification as well the unification of China even though he killed a lot of people. The Beijing olympics is the proudest achievement ever other than the launching of the rocket.

  • @bchiu654 "I appreciate Mao Zedong and his glorification as well the unification of China even though he killed a lot of people"

    .

    I find this comment remarkable.

  • I think the use of "Western" and "Chinese" as definitive terms has been over-emphasised. It's important to remember that the domain of music is quite international right now and while certain elements may have orginated from the U.S., the reality of contemporary music is that it's truly international and "modern". This is a fantastic song that pays tribute to China's amazing achievements from ancient times right up to the times of today. I congratulate and salute the Chinese!

  • @alexwilliams84

Sort of... but in many cases you can trace definite influences in styles. And most musical instruments were created in definite places. For example, the Beatles used the sitar in some of their music, and in that case, I wouldn't pretend that they weren't influenced by international styles.

  • Sort of... but in many cases you can trace definite influences in styles. And most musical instruments were created in definite places. For example, the Beatles used the sitar in some of their music, and in that case, I wouldn't pretend that they weren't influenced by international styles. some of the Chinese responding to this are reacting in a bizarre knee-jerk way to the notion that aspects of Chinese society result from international influence.

  • @EuphrasieF

I'm not disputing that certain styles can trace their origins to definite places and/or cultures. I'm simply saying that this exercise in national patriotism on the part of Chinese shouldn't be judged in terms of how "modern" or how "Western" its styles are - the lyrics are obviously Chinese while the tune, style and instruments used in the music are in all probability derived from a variety of cultures.

  • @EuphrasieF

I also do not think it's fair to label the views of the Chinese here as simply "knee-jerk". This is a typical response on the part of most Westerners and it connotes dismissal and judgment. The Chinese have a right to be proud of their culture as do we Australians and Americans. I do not think I'd take it too kindly if people were to label my patriotism towards Australia as "knee-jerk" or "bizarre" if I were to express pride at Waltzing Matilda.

  • @alexwilliams84

"Knee-jerk" only refers to a couple commentators. But yes, I was dismissive of the attitudes in question, and I still am. Patriotism is one thing. Ignoring facts is another. If I were, say, to make the claim that the United States invented cars, then others would be right to correct me and say that the French also played a significant role in the early development of the automobile.

  • @EuphrasieF

I think that to be dismissive of people's opinions is just about as ignoranant as one could get. We can disagree, but we should never dismiss. If we in the West are to enter into a world which aligns more closely to China - simply because of the geopolitical fact that China is a rapidly rising country, one that could possibly overtake the U.S. - these are attitudes we should most definitely ditch. Keeping an open mind and being receptive to diversity are things we should be doing.

  • @alexwilliams84

// I do not think I'd take it too kindly if people were to label my patriotism towards Australia as "knee-jerk" or "bizarre" if I were to express pride at Waltzing Matilda.///

What would that "pride" entail? Saying it's a good song? I wouldn't argue something like that. But that's not what I was saying.

  • @alexwilliams84

Or, to bring it back to music - would I be reasonable to take offense if I were reminded that one popular American song is a direct copy of the UK national anthem?

  • @EuphrasieF

In response to your My Country 'Tis of Thee comment, I wouldn't know. If you take the view that the U.S. was founded by English settlers, what offence should there be? But then again, you might not take such a view. And if I were to take such a view, would you then be dismissive of what I am saying? Or would you simply disagree and we could debate? By being dismissive, you shut off any avenue of debate, by disagreeing, avenues remain open. Surely there's merit in what I am saying.

  • Beautiful song. Very western in its music. Nice seeing that China is being westernized.

  • @scipio1492

to some extent, the song still retains its Chinese elements.

  • What Chinese elements? Even in older recordings of the song, it's quite Western in style.

  • @scipio1492

Its not a western music by any means.

  • Im chinese and I love China it's awesome.

    i live in the US

  • It is a pity China is so controversial... I really like it's culture but everything to do with China people are like bleuuhhh Falun Gong Bleauhhhhh capitalism and there are Chinese Communists swearing at Americans and then Americans being racist to Chinese, why cant people just apreciate Chinese culture and not be so political

  • Who does this version? Great version, wasn't this song used in a musical?

  • stfu. even your computer parts are made from china dumbass. even down to your clothes and basically everything you own. deny it all you want but china monopolized the world, face it. without china, your country would be a failure.

  • The rest of that stuff, okay, but eating dogs is a bad thing? In parts of the world, eating cows is a crime. Lots of people think eating a pig is beyond understanding. Meat is fucking meat.

And most everything you use today can be attributed to something China thought up years and years ago. So if you think about it... who counterfeits? btw, I'm not from China.

  • @NastyYogaBunny

    Go fuck yourself.

  • Why don't you stop reposting the same bullshit comments over and over again about a country so culturally rich that a simple minded imbecile like yourself will never be able to fully understand it or its people?

  • British have respect for another country??????????????????????? wtf!!! what a funny and fraudulent joke!!! British invaded more countries and killed more people than any other country.............From Dal450i's words, I know british people are extremely dishonest!!!

  • You are right...I am Irish and the British were horibble to us for 700 YEARS!

  • We can't generalize. Yes, Britain has done some horrible things. But every country has some skeletons in their closet. We should target people and government actions, not cultures.

  • at lease, China did much much much better than any so-called democratic western country, 100% sure

  • Actually our people have been suffered for many years after Communist victory.... The Chinese Communist members were already quit from the Party then some Secret Police agents forced them to regain their membership.

The Party was keeping it as State Secret... and that's for sure! No lies about it!

  • 干你娘的维狗!

  • British people have respect for another country?????????? I am Irish and the British were not very respectful'' in Ireland! For 700 years you kept us down and murdered anybody who did not follow your imperial rules!!!!!! Dont say that the British have respect!

  • The British and the Chinese are made up of many people--- you can't generalize about all of them. But now that we're talking politics... China doesn't have the long history of anti-Semitism that Britain does (and still harbors towards Israel), and China never colonized the United States or shipped their citizens into the country to steal the lands, lives, and resources of Native Americans.

  • You can't just say that one nation's people are this way, and another's are strictly that way. That isn't true at all.

  • Don't condem the people of a country for the actions of it's selfish government.

  • i like how everybody stood up in th stadium when the Chinese national anthem was sung but when the British National anthem was sung only British people stood up... no Chinese people just British,
