  • Green Chimneys RTC in Brewster, NY is nothing but an abuse center. I was abused daily there with hordes of kids and abuse still goes on. Sexual too. In May 2001 the local paper had an article about an 8-year-old boy at Green Chimneys who was raped by 3 older Green Chimneys boys. I read on line about Philip Zagarella and Eric Napoletano, 2 other rapists who grew up to be worse rapists and even serial killers. Green Chimneys corrupts character like in their case.

  • he did get lessons from satriani.

  • Oh man, The Hunter has dun caught hisself in that there groove machine again!

  • MORE COWBELL

  • Does anyone actually listen to the MUSIC, or just talk about what kind of this he plugs into that and who taught him to do it...? And I really don't give a shit if his technique is proper or note, or how some other guy does it better, but I know Charlie is killing it!!

  • @Zombbg4

    thanks.

  • Amen my brother. This man is so it, his music may be like high pitched whistles. Only the cool dogs can get it. The rest are rooting around for scraps. Charlie is unbelievable.

  • @Zombbg4 Perfectionists care about that kind of stuff, but people do talk about it way too much. I dont mind the insightful comment though unless its truley bullshit.

  • satriani gave him lessons

  • no, they just went to Berkley not even at the same time

  • I think thats impossible to believe, with all due respect to Satriani.Hunter's fingerstyle is something to far from Satrianis approach.

  • @midiset1974 you are soooo lost!!!!!

  • Zynnetrix I think that what you said is not justify because time and tone in the Master Class is just to show the style where he didn't want to keep tempo, but before talking check the TV Jazz Solo, and NO ONE in the world can do that. Buy one of his solo album known as JazzPot. That's the most incredible thing that I've ever heard. Also if you listen to the latest album "Fusion Jazz" in duet with drummer Milford Chambers, you'll be surprise, unless you dont realize what's going on etc.

  • The best who is playing simultaneously everything on one SIX STRINGS GUITAR tune normally without taping is John Phil Wayne.

    Go and check that.

  • stanley jordan is great too

  • John Phil Wayne does not tap but play simultaneously the solo/bass/accompaniment through the traditional method which is much more difficult while Stanley Jordan who is also good uses the taping method. That(s why JP Wayne's style is unique!

  • Indeed, his style is very unique, but he has some serious issues with time & tone. Sometimes he gets into strange shredlicks that aren't of any use but showmanship. They neither contribute to the playing nor to song. They just sound bad. Period. As a mature musician he should have overcome such strange habits long time ago... Not saying he is a bad guitarist - he can do some awesome things, but in terms of creating enjoyable and exciting music CH the one to prefer (for me; from this 2).

  • The thinking, that a guitarists skill is defined only by polyphony is _very_ narrow minded... And one more personal note: My choice for a good polyphone, improvising electric guitarist would be Ted Greene.

  • I would say Joe Pass had better articulation, time, and overall cleanliness than JPW, but they are both killer. Tuck Andress is cool also. Try to be well educated and constructive people.

  • Charlie is very talented and unique, but check out George Van Eps and Jimmy Foster, these guys make real solos with bass lines, Charlie seems a little limited in this respect, like to simple grooves, or simple progressions. What he does is great but more can be done in terms of +six strings.

  • That's BAAAAAADDD!!!! ive heard of this guy but never checked him out myself. He sounds different here....like Scofield....but playiing his own bass. he's got some tight percussionist with him too. Gotta check this guy out...anybody know what chorus he's using. Sounds nice.

  • Yeah, he used a Hughes and Kettner leslie simulator for awhile. He's used many things. I think you can simulate it pretty well with a good flanger. Sco is the man. I got a few sco vids up on 8 string...

  • thanx man....the H&Ks are nice, expensive too. I think thats what Warren Haynes uses. Maxon CS550 is great too, the only one I have ever owned. your stuff sounds good bro

  • Does anyone know the name of this solo album?

  • Yeah, Charlie!! Groovin!

  • I saw this line up at Bowery. Chopek and Lovejoy were/are awesome.

  • This is Charlie in great form! I think I saw a concert from the same run at pearl st, was soo close could have played percussion.. to this day that is still one of my favorite concerts... absolutely amazing!

  • He doesn't need God to bless him, he's already a great guitar player.

  • true, but just imagine, his skill now, plus Gods blessing. lol

  • If God's blessing makes you a better musician, then why do ALL Christian rock bands suck?

  • haha, well i was kinda kidding. But there is one christian SKA band that kinda kicks ass. Anyway, good call.

  • BINGO!

  • Hahah best comment ever!
