This is one of the funniest things you'll ever see. who knew animals from america were represented at the manger? who knew native americans are one of the most american parts of christmas? who knew miss velma could shoot a gun with live ammo on stage to pop balloons?? LOL this was soooo bad!
thank you crabtastic for posting these miss velma vids. i too was addicted to watching the jaggers on tv back in the 80's and am the proud owner of one of dr. jagger's healing hand cloths. i attended the church a few times as an anthropological exercise in weirdness and was awed by the shiny folk art beauty of the golden altar of incense prayer.
I remember discovering Dr. Jaggers on cable tv back in high school in the early 80's. I just couldn't stop watching it! This is is first footage I have seen of that time since then. Thanks for posting these.
I prefer Dr. Jaggers, and would love to see anything of him posted, by anyone. I was especially taken by a segment where he spoke of the biological aspect of the virgin birth, and the slide they showed was a school textbook illustration of a chicken embryo in the egg. Fantastic Stuff!
This video is part of the "Christmas Special", the most unbelievable show ever on TV. It featured Miss Velma, "a crack shot", wearing an Indian war bonnet while she shot balloons and played "Joy to the World" on a hand organ.
I just found out that Miss Velma has passed away. I'm looking for information on what happened with the contents of their church after they sold the property and what happened to their ministry. I remember the Jaggers has an assistant named George. If anybody knows how to contact this man or anyone associated with the jaggers please contact me by replying to this post. Thank you.
to this day Miss Velma and Dr. Jaggers make me weep with joy at their sensitive portrayals of the glories of God. I'd give my Little Mermaid sipper cup just to have seen the Golden Tabernacle in person... I think I'd have fainted from the rapturous vision.
This is mind blowing. I'm in tears, right now.
