  • 600 Euros, LOL

  • It looks awesome but it's so dark and muffled sounding, I know analog delays are like this but i think the moog is one of the least clean analog delays I've heard.

the expansive price isn't even what turns me off, it's that it's so degraded sounding even on the very first repeat, just instantly mud sounding.

  • can any expression pedal be used with Moog effects, or do only Moog expression pedals work?

  • One of the most aweome delay pedals ever! Just so sapcey and lush. Most these days sound to artificial, whilst this is really crisp and overal very natural.

I even like the slap back, even though I find it that sound annoying most of the time. It sounds more useable.

Moog seem to have some great pedals, but there appears to be few and far between, even on popular sights, and ones I've seen will end in me selling my place to get hold of it!

    Magnificently trippy stuff

  • what an amazing pedal...

  • beautiful, perfect tone, great character, i'll just sell a kidney to buy one

  • incredible...but IMO a memory man is better for the price. i mean, $700? Really? You could buy a decent guitar or amp for that price!!

  • I thought my Echo Tap was the end for me as far as delays went but this has just ruined me... Grrr.

  • Can this trick with flanger on repeats be done with Seymour Duncan Deja Vu?

  • Yes

  • Repeats processing with Maxon FL-9 in external loop at 7:15-7:45 is amazing.

  • truly one of the greatest pedal ever. i'll buy one someday for sure

  • That is one fantastic piece of kit. It must be amazing to have that degree of control over the delay (with the expression pedals, I mean)... I really must have one. It sounds heavenly.

  • check out for eddie hazel maggot brain solo and california dreamin' version, he used it that way it is amazing

  • i hear slash's tone here hm..

  • it's a great pedal .. but if you're happy with yours just stick with it .. it's a delay pedal and this one's hell expensive.. i mean they almost sounded the same anyway and i'm happy with mine (dl4)

  • There's actually a fairly large difference between the two tone wise if you have any ear for tone whatsoever.

  • i meant flanger not phaser ^^

  • 4:16 That sound a awesome

  • This is THE best delay ever! But damn that price tag... I'm sure it's worth every penny but musicians are usually poor. I guess I'll wait for used, ten years I might be able to afford an old beat up Moog...

  • stick to the ebay bro i jsut got one f practically brand new for 380 bucks!

  • as used by mr j. tweedy, great pedal.

  • how would these pedal work with a Xotic BB Plus Preamp? it doent have thru bypass

  • It'll work fine.

  • This is on my list of stuff to buy. I also need the 105 and 101. Another CP-251 would be nice, too.

  • i wanna steal this! i dont wanna pay money for it but it looks amazing!

  • That sound at 5:59 is so freaking awesome

  • appetitous

  • 4:15 - 4:45 is beautiful

  • yes this is a expensive pedal but honestly its a really amazing piece of gear. its just so flexible and if you really want to get crazy you can try using different sources into the delay time to provide modulation to it as well. if you spend some time you can get a wonderful chorus sound out of it as well. awesome for dub sounds too. really cool if you toss a spring reverb in there as well.

  • this is an amazing pedal for Dub Reggae (Augustus Pablo/King Tubby esque delays)

  • but if you are lookin THE best delay for dub, the Roland Re-201 what your lookin for :D (the one tubby, augustus, scientist, perry, and Kieth hudson (just to name a few) used)

  • now i know what i want for next xmas :D

  • sounds great, wish i could afford one. has all the warmness of an all-analog delay. im happy with my line 6 dl4 for now though even though it's digital haha

  • woah :33

  • these pedals are so expensive though

  • analog rules, analog everything all the way

  • yay I like that they included something on the delay loop this time. this pedal has such a rich sound overall... no comparison to digital imo

  • It will be mine....oh yes....it will be mine.

  • Holy shit, this sounds incredible.

  • DROOL [2]

  • good thing it has the effect loop

  • A Strat! Where is the G & L Legacy? great review as always.

  • could you potentially add an octave up pedal into the effect loop and have an interesting octave up delay?

  • Yes! We've done this is the Diamond Memory Lane 2 demo with a Micro Pog and it's very eerie!. It's at the end of the vid on our website.

    PGS

  • Hello ¡ Great demos. Do you think you could do a demo of the moog multipedal ? Love to see it with a rimg moldulator. Thanks

  • yea man sounds awesome

but what about the low pass filter?

thatd be really cool to hear also

  • wood paneling: great on cars, not so much on pedals.

  • They were modeled to look like Moog's own analog synths. Take a look at the website.

  • I kinda like it because it's something different.

    Besides, it sounds great!

  • You can't ever really go wrond with wood paneling on anything.

  • Who cares what a pedal looks like?

  • DROOL

  • I think it's freaking awesome but it's too expensive for me though I'd rather buy a new amplifier since mine is Fender 15 watt bronco

  • wow really cool.

would you be able to do one on the resonance or freq box?

  • awsome

  • damn! y doe it have to be so much!

  • Double-tiered PCB with a shitload of BBD chips.

  • Yeah. Straight up early 70's technology! Hot.

  • God, I NEVER thought I'd say this, but this is just too weird for me. Too many options! I'll stick with the Mad Professor Deep Blue Delay (best damned delay pedal in the WORLD!)

  • Moog Analog Delay vs Retro Sonic Analog Delay What does everyone think about the two?

  • why does it cost so much???

  • Analog delays usually stop at 600ms and have a gritty tone. I didn't hear any of that lofi dirt on the slow settings. I'd say you're paying for that and the fact that it has the FX loop and all the expression inputs

  • Please, Please do a demo of all the Moogerfoogers Please!!

  • That thing is so fucking awesome!!! Too bad they cost about $600. I can't decide if it's worth it or not.... oh wait, of course it is.

  • Holy crap these things are like $700!!!

  • I've wanted one of these for longer than I can remember.
