It looks awesome but it's so dark and muffled sounding, I know analog delays are like this but i think the moog is one of the least clean analog delays I've heard.
the expansive price isn't even what turns me off, it's that it's so degraded sounding even on the very first repeat, just instantly mud sounding.
One of the most aweome delay pedals ever! Just so sapcey and lush. Most these days sound to artificial, whilst this is really crisp and overal very natural.
I even like the slap back, even though I find it that sound annoying most of the time. It sounds more useable.
Moog seem to have some great pedals, but there appears to be few and far between, even on popular sights, and ones I've seen will end in me selling my place to get hold of it!
That is one fantastic piece of kit. It must be amazing to have that degree of control over the delay (with the expression pedals, I mean)... I really must have one. It sounds heavenly.
it's a great pedal .. but if you're happy with yours just stick with it .. it's a delay pedal and this one's hell expensive.. i mean they almost sounded the same anyway and i'm happy with mine (dl4)
This is THE best delay ever! But damn that price tag... I'm sure it's worth every penny but musicians are usually poor. I guess I'll wait for used, ten years I might be able to afford an old beat up Moog...
yes this is a expensive pedal but honestly its a really amazing piece of gear. its just so flexible and if you really want to get crazy you can try using different sources into the delay time to provide modulation to it as well. if you spend some time you can get a wonderful chorus sound out of it as well. awesome for dub sounds too. really cool if you toss a spring reverb in there as well.
but if you are lookin THE best delay for dub, the Roland Re-201 what your lookin for :D (the one tubby, augustus, scientist, perry, and Kieth hudson (just to name a few) used)
sounds great, wish i could afford one. has all the warmness of an all-analog delay. im happy with my line 6 dl4 for now though even though it's digital haha
God, I NEVER thought I'd say this, but this is just too weird for me. Too many options! I'll stick with the Mad Professor Deep Blue Delay (best damned delay pedal in the WORLD!)
Analog delays usually stop at 600ms and have a gritty tone. I didn't hear any of that lofi dirt on the slow settings. I'd say you're paying for that and the fact that it has the FX loop and all the expression inputs
600 Euros, LOL

can any expression pedal be used with Moog effects, or do only Moog expression pedals work?

I thought my Echo Tap was the end for me as far as delays went but this has just ruined me... Grrr.

There's actually a fairly large difference between the two tone wise if you have any ear for tone whatsoever.

Yes! We've done this is the Diamond Memory Lane 2 demo with a Micro Pog and it's very eerie!. It's at the end of the vid on our website.

wood paneling: great on cars, not so much on pedals.

They were modeled to look like Moog's own analog synths. Take a look at the website.

I kinda like it because it's something different.
Besides, it sounds great!
