@rockerneum back in the 80s and early 90s, this kind of metal wasn't on TV a lot. Bands like this were too hard and heavy for Top 40 rotation and not heavy enough to get played late at night alongside Megadeth, Metallica, Anthrax etc.

And of coarse these lesser known bands wouldn't get played throughout the day, the programmers were more concerned with playing "We're Not Gonna Take It" and "Every Rose Has It's Thorn" 20 or 30 times throughout the day (not that there's anything wrong with that!)
