@IIxMURPHYxII If you mean change the enemy's character in the air,i dunno if it'll work then but do quarter-circle forward,and then one of the assist buttons to change the enemy's character,based on which one you use.and if you mean change your character i think you hit a direction you want to knock the enemy in,and the special button at the same time.

@turdmaflurd Press 'Start' and go the 'Training Options' tab (the last tab) and go to "Input Display" and put it on. It will show you the buttons you press, from simple dashing, to attack buttons. I got UMVC3, and I'm sure the regular MVC3 is the same. You can also see how much the attack damage you cause to an opponent by going to the same 'Training Options' tab and go to "Attack Data" and put it on.

I love this game, but I was so thoroughly dissapointed in the "simple" control style. Imma TVC vet and the wii only had 6 buttons to use, yet they did about 5 things for each button. but in this one it makes it limited, they purposely give you only your main lv1 hyper to use and the other special features no longer available. basically screwing everyone who liked the simple style by saying to use the complicated "regular" style, or lose your assets

And of course the longer your combo the bigger the damage. Most combos are easy to memorize, which is why your skill is mostly based on being able to start a combo or avoid getting comboed. Some games have combo breakers that require some sort of sacrifice like meter.

It's hilarious how you start of by saying that the game is "almost to easy" and yet miss the aerial combo 5 out of 7 times. The series has never been about input difficulty as much as about HOW and WHEN to push in a combo or ability. This is NOT an easy game to pick up. There are some instances were timing (just look at Dante's Aerial Combo), placing and jumping direction do matter, and that while playing in a usually blazing speed. Some top players says it's the most difficult game to master.
