I am an ex-chiefs fan if that makes any sense. I used to live in KC, but have since moved to Tampa, so go figure, however herm is the problem there, and that defense without allen is simply aweful. you make a great point about herm, but don't forget Carl Peterson, who also needed to go, thank god that he did, and some new coordinators need to be hired along with a new coach.

Herm is the NFL's definition of a stiff. He took over Parcells's Jets and drove them into the ground before he abandoned ship and is doing the same thing with Vermeil's team and will probably end up abandoning the Chiefs the same way if he doesn't get thrown out on his ass first. As a black man myself I can say he was given the opportunity because of the diversity push by the league, BUT they gave an opportunity to the wrong guy. You really can't evaluate a draft until at the very, very least 3 years later. When Dick was coaching we were competitive in just about every game. Dick understands play calling. Herm is one of the most unimaginative and over rated coaches out there. I hope and pray that someday Dick Vermeil will come back. That or at the very least we could've done what we should've done after Dick retired and that's make Al Saunders the head coach.
