  • VeraceSzk is right. I saw the Twilight Zone episode last night on MeTv. It was written for the 1964 episode by Jeff Alexander and sung by Bonnie Beecher. Look it up on Wikipedia, it tells you what the episode and song are about. The song is beautiful. It sounds like an old folk song.

  • The most eveil song ever composed

  • the clip is a masterpiece ..do this phillip van did "real" films then?

  • This song is from the Twilight Zone. Everyone who is over analyzing this song in some context or another is wrong. It's from the Twilight Zone about the man she fell in love with. The episode is called "come wander with me".

  • been wondering. . . i think this "away from. . ." part was sampled somewhere in an ambient-ish electronic tune. i bet quantic, caribou, something of that kind but thats only a loose guess. do you know what could that be, anyone?

  • My interpretation is that the girl in the forest, represents the Innocense of Humanity living in Harmony with Nature as "wandering gatherers" Living in the Garden of Eden The End represents how we are now surrounded with Fake walls of Death Instead of Nature/Life.

  • I don't understand the video. Can someone please explain?

  • I want this song to play at my wedding, while I'm wearing my most beautiful heels and a piece of Yohji Yamamoto.

  • @maluuuu4 Are u sure? this song is evil!

  • @manelsl29 yes

  • Sleep says no? Song punches sleep in the face. Sleep says yes.

  • i thought there was ganna be a jump scare at the end

  • what

  • You killed Billy Rayford...

  • cradle robber

  • Sin palabras

  • my arms are two giant goosebumps right now.

  • child abuse

  • Tears..tears...heartbreak... beautiful sorrow. All the animals..

  • Bello, ma l'originale voleva dire altro, solo disimpegno...

  • one of the most powerful music videos ive ever seen

  • So sad...

  • peaceful sadness

  • impeccable....

  • beautiful!

  • Nothing can match her voice, I have heard others who have tried to sing it again... It has such depth that it beats anything else... So deep, so sweet...

  • I have to believe the Beagle pulled the stake out and ran away!!! Too sad, other wise!

  • I thought this was alright when I first watched it and about two minutes later it got to me. Depressing as hell but very good.

  • First I thought it was something completely different she was holding in her hand...

  • @merrittmanc i already tried. the singers who did it changed it by adding drumbeats, etc. i prefer this version, but thanks anyway.

  • i wish i could get this on itunes.

  • @Hellyea555 you can, just try "come wander with me"

  • @Hellyea555 it is actually on itunes for free just google " little minx itunes " and it's the first link. podcast # 1. and she stares... "

  • I watch this all the time.

  • She left that poor dog behind......

  • at 0:15 i really thought she was holding a huge dildo :P

  • Actually brought tears to my eyes. And I don't cry at just anything.

  • @Katsalem33 don't worry you aren't the only one.

  • this should have been on bioshock1 or 2 ... just saying

  • @grgingerross It would be perfect in Fallout

  • I assume you've all seen the 1962 Twilight zone episode entitled 'come wander with me' and in which they use this identical version of the song?

    Go watch it...

  • @calico992 actually the song was at first made solely for that episode and was sung by Bonnie, who was the actress in that show, and it later became very popular that it was soon mainstream.

  • *The only one accountable for your life is you.* Your progression in life is at the mercy of this statement.

  • Great artistry in the song and vid but the vid is a cop out in my opinion. There is no choice when it comes to growing into adulthood. Life is pain; time passes by without consent. Nothing is gained by trying to hold on to childhood or blaming others for its departure.

  • man this is a great song in a way is dark and creeper.

  • This sounds like a "black spiritual"; very nice melody.

  • Very, very haunting song! Nicely done!

  • I'd love to own a collection of skulls like that.

  • @veh707 LOL wtf man

  • Does that dog bark because it has vocal cords, or does it have vocal cords to bark?

  • does anyone know any songs like this? that are hauntingly beautiful and folk like...?

  • @hbomb2704 Have you ever listened to Jackson C. Frank "Tumble in the Wind"? It might not be what you're looking for, but he was a very troubled man and wrote some really beautiful songs before he died. Sorry if it's not what you're looking for.

  • @KissMyDollParts wow, what an amazing song that was! thank you so much for posting that. that song is perfect

  • haunting

  • this is really sad makes me want to live alone in a tree house for the rest of my life

  • This is sung by my mother Bonnie Beecher. She has changed her name since then though...

  • @Swirv71 thats cool has she ever sung it to you?

  • new favorite video.

  • Haunting...

  • it cant be played just once

  • ik vind dit liedje echt zoo erg mooi!

    de clip is ook mooi.

  • I have to say that this song caught my ear back in the sixties when i was a child and this was playing on tv. I ran to the room to see what this song was. This is a nice interpretation of it.

  • i want to sleep -_- but i love it

  • interesting......

  • I first heard this on the twilight zone back in the sixties and have loved it ever since.

  • This is about her realizing how the man she once thought she loved was not what she expected him to be and how she ended up with her childhood dreams broken and never achieving what she once aspired to be and never loving the hypothetical One that was really meant for her.

  • He said Come wander with me, Love Come wander with me Away from this sad world Come wander with me He came from the sunset He came from the sea He came from my sorrow And can love only me Oh where is the wanderer Who wandered this way He's passed on his wandering And will never go away He sang of a sweet love Of dreams that would be But I was sworn to another And could never be free
  • This is about more than "growing up" or leaving "childhood" behind, its about losing innocence. The song and the video are equally haunting and strike a chord in all of our inner psyches because no one in this world is "innocent"

  • @stitchedupslut I can relate completely to your words... like the portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa wrote "I had the greatest health of not knowing at all, of being smart amongst family; not having the hopes that others had for me- once I had my hopes for something, I knew no longer how to hope, once I gazed at life, life no longer had meaning"

  • @manelsl29 what were his original words?

  • @121239r in portuguese you mean?

  • @stitchedupslut The song itself has nothing to do with 'growing up' though. The video has very little to do with the content of the song. Considering the source of the song, I guess making a video that relates more closely to the lyrics would be pretty hard to do. And I guess they are kind of vague, but in the Twilight Zone episode the verses eventually tell a story.

  • @stitchedupslut you interpreted more of the video than you did the actual song.

  • AMAZING

  • Ah. Exquisite Corpse. : D

  • Really nice video ohmgracer!!

  • When the child was a child

it woke up once in a strange bed...

but now time and time again.

    Many people seemed beautiful then,

nowadays it's only the odd one.

It had a precise picture of Paradise,

and now can only guess at it.

    It couldn't imagine nothingness,

and today shudders at the idea.

  • the ghost part gives me goose bumps

  • I don't understand what does the video mean exactly??!!

  • Come wander with me, away from this sad world...

  • the video is just horrible. makes me cry every time. the song is great and beautiful, but that jail thing...

maybe i'm lucky to be by myself?

  • twilight zone episode i meant, not twilight

  • @HolyBomb You know, I once had someone legit make fun of me for liking Twilight Zone, and no matter how hard I tried to convince them it was made 40 years before those awful books, they were not hearing it. Humans seldom impress except in the field of stupidity.

  • this song was in a twilight episode called "come wander with me" saying the tragic story of 2 lovebirds

  • i really want to know what the video means i guess its something like she dont want to grow up or she grew up too quickly and didn't like it ........so weird yet great !!!!

  • It's a bit dark. She is somehow... tainted.

  • i ♥ tis song

  • Как грустно...

  • I think the problem is how dull they decorated/painted their house. If they'd been more adventurous as adults, some orange, warm and cool hues, it'd be alright. Better atleast... That and a few interesting hobbies. Yeah.

    >> 5 *s

  • Really, really great stuff but I have mixed feelings about the video. To me, it seems as though she is being lured out of her innocence, like she had a choice, and the male figure is the bait. In the bedroom she seems to resent him for that. Anybody?

  • Jailbait was asking for it.

  • ti mata guriazinha de merda

  • ta uma bosta. da-lhe wander

  • this song is so hauntingly beautiful and really makes you think...

  • wander

  • when i first heard this song in brown bunny i thought it was jeff buckley. the cooing toootally sounds like him.

  • not enough stars to compliment this song.... and this video. I've never felt so... touched.

It's really the most depressing, sweet and soft song I've ever heard.

  • It's beautiful. I love the dystopian vibe it all has. I like that you have to think to understand it, and that, because it's not obvious, you can watch it over and over again and it doesn't become dull. The idea of her innocent childhood turning to this scary, twisted world of adulthood is fantastic. I love the deal with the glasses, like she's taking off what blurred her childish world and entering the stark reality of growing older. And one day she realizes that she can never, never go back.

  • love this track on Air's Late Night Tales cd

  • There aren't enough stars to rate this video....

  • woot Twilight Zone!

  • ZOMG THE SKULLS Its too scary....FFFFFFFFFF

  • oh grow up. lol

  • He looks like the men from the story of the movie The Rain People. I love this song, video is great also!

  • This is from a very very rare twilight zone episode

  • @vegasshowgirlshoes What is rare about it?

  • the brown bunny ^_^

  • this was part of a film, a future shorts film but i can rember what the file was called

  • follow the link in the description

  • dude remember!

  • Amazing song. Can somebody explain the video to me?

  • Comment removed

  • About how painful it is to grow up .

  • poor dog

  • ONLY YOU CAN PREVENT FOREST FIRES!!!

  • roflmao.. how is that relevant. lol?

  • lol!

  • i know some of the people who worked on this

all i can say is that they did a great job

  • Very interesting. In the original version of the twilight zone, the wondering man was a jerk who wanted to steel a song and make it big, abandoning her at the fist chanced that he could, but her devotion to him blinded her to what a creep her really is.

  • oh my gosh just watched this episode on tv. . .didnt even finish the episode before i went to look up the song :)

  • u got msn

  • I love this song. It reminds me of an ex-bf.

  • just saw this on tz, had to look it up. beautiful.

  • Twilight Zone FTW

  • Lol, fuck yes.

  • me too. quite a tune, indeed.

  • Interpret this how you want.. its nothing short of genius. It has so many levels. The cinematography and song are crushingly beautiful.. It reaches into your soul; it makes you think. Amazing

  • Pretty freaking sad, but this is what life is all about in our world.

  • funny thing - you don't choose to be a kid - you just wind up on a journey, playing out the best and worst parts of it. at root, it's like a spell. then you wake and you're an adult.

  • I agree! It's a beautiful song, but it's as if there's something dark lurking underneath the surface.....

  • I was shocked to see the woman turn around only to face the skulls, presumably of the critters she abandoned. These are powerful images going on in this video, accompanied by such a wonderful song.

  • I'm gonna guess that all the recent comments are from the same twilight zone I watched a couple of days ago O.o

kinda strange how that works, huh?

  • do we willingly leave behind our childhood or are we lead to adulthood by the ambition of others?

  • the modern world is corrupt and leads children astray into a life of decadence, depravity, and self-betrayal. the key is to stick to the one true path. though it be quite narrow at times, it never fails to nurture and inspire.

  • @animelozer I think it others ambition...Noone wants to grow up but people force you to...

  • @animelozer , That is a way better guess than I could ever come up with. Nice job! God Bless!

  • Even though the video kinda changes the meaning of the lyrics that were done for the episode on Twilight Zone, it's still pretty awesome. Kinda gives it another twist, LOL

  • That episode from Twilight Zone sure was one of their greatest... Really goddamn sad too -_-

  • I heard this in an old Twilight Zone I saw. I'm so glad I could find this!

  • I love this song. It's short but beautiful with a goosebump feeling.

  • Where can I get this song?

  • Try buying, Air - late night tales.

  • Thanks a lot buddy, that did it.

  • HAUNTINGLY BEAUTIFUL

  • This is kind of representing innocence lost. The man was the one to take away her perfect world and introduce her to reality, and her whole small fairy tale world was burned.

  • Oh My Gosh!! A Beagle!!

    Soo sad!!

  • Is the little girl related to Ridley Scott?

  • yah, grand daughter.

  • brilliantly beautiful, made me cry

  • and she stares longingly at what she has lost...

  • This song appeared in the series of ''twilight zone''

  • Yes it sure was in an episode of The Twilight Zone, " Come Wander with Me (1964) It starred Bing's son Gary Crosby and Dylan's old girlfriend and perhaps muse his song"Girl Of The North Country" singer Bonney Beecher.

  • This song sorta reminds me of Bat for Lashes..

But it has a uniqueness of its own! :)

  • Impresionante. Todo.

  • so beautiful..

  • i go to school with the little girl, her name is cuba scott

  • This video and song is intense, interesting, deep and unique. I have mixed feelings about this song and am not very aware to what the messiage is and what its all about. I believe there to be a psychological meaning behind this song, it calms me down and helps me think :D

  • im from mexico and i was wonder if you have the letter of this song

  • what do you mean the letter? : )

  • he mean the lyrics

  • yep n_n

  • I love this video!! This is my second time commenting here! XDD

the other day I watched the movie Gattaca and for some reason i just though! (to those who've seen it) doesn't this guy look kind of like Vincent? or even Anton(sp?) XD

  • the most beautiful song i've ever heard..

  • He said: Come Wonder with me, love.

Its a story. Really deep and beautiful. Makes you wonder...

  • So sad!!! is completly disturbing the lyrics are simple but the video is weird!!

  • i dont understand , what is this about? not the song but the vid.

    its kinda....weird

  • read the feedback - lots of meanings. For me it's about loss. I don' know if I would have "got" it ten years ago, but whoa do I get it now.

i don't think the song is just "pretty" - it's as dark as the video if you listen to the lyrics. The video really hits it.

  • i always sing it when i'm sad, and thats alot of times :(
