If academics are a joke at VT it seems funny to me that recruiters prefer VT students over UVA students (according to a Wall Street Journal study). Tech students also earn more coming out of college, and earn more at the mid-point in their careers (according to payscale.com). Go to UVA so you can lose in football and in life. Yes, we lag behind in football and have for a decade now. I don't like it but until Groh is gone, I deal with it. But we have plenty of ACC titles and national titles in various sports. You also have ACC titles, but no national titles. But both schools are strong academically and in sports.

Actually those three things you listed above are televised just as/less often than softball. And tennis and golf, which UVA openly professes their "epicness" aren't televised either.

Looks like were going back to when there were fewer NCAA schools, less talent, smaller pool of talent, and the like, to count some of your national championships. And not very many schools have Div. 1 lacrosse (what a concept!)which makes competition less challenging. Tech has younger programs than UVA, with growing dominance. Unless your school is UVA, or Notre Dame you only care about the now, because that's what's most important. Not what happened before you were born. Dominace=now, not then.

Also, I'm a Redskins fan and I didn't want Hall. He's a great talent (witness the pick on Sunday and the two near misses) but also a head case (the personal foul on Sunday, and quitting on the Falcons last year).

Yes, we lag behind in football and have for a decade now. I don't like it but until Groh is gone, I deal with it. But we have plenty of ACC titles and national titles in various sports. You also have ACC titles, but no national titles. But both schools are strong academically and in sports.

As said before, Ore was thrown out because they finally found someone better. He never went to class but I guess that is not important right? Also, it takes two DUIs to get suspended? Even the SEC teams are stricter than that. And I never said a word about UVA being any good this year. It sucks but I still display my colors with pride. Then the ghost defensive holding call on the play in the endzone. Then Hakeem Nicks stripped the ball out of tech's stupid DB hands and that was called dead. Then 2 bullshit personal fouls on one player for Nebraska and a personal foul on a head coach. Coaches don't get personal fouls in football.

Richmond is a much better FCS team than Furman is and tech won by 1 more point than uva because of a missed xp. I would rather have the shutout and win by 16 instead of giving up a touchdown and winning by 17. And Football Powerhouses aren't supposed to have rebuilding years. And talking about draft picks UVA lost two 1st rounders but i am not sitting here whining about it. Also with the new coach and loss of Slaton and half their defense, I would say WVU was overated at 7th in the nation.

Did you hear the news? Virginia Tech had multiple starters that were accepted into this thing known as the NFL Draft. It's where really good student-athletes have the ability to be drafted into a professional league.
And since all of the recievers have left/been drafted, along with defenders, Tech had to go recruit new, developing talent. They're REBUILDING. They have a new kicker as well.
ECU is not rebuilding. They have big guys. They should have won that game and they did.

Looks like were going back to when there were fewer NCAA schools, less talent, smaller pool of talent, and the like, to count some of your national championships. And not very many schools have Div. 1 lacrosse (what a concept!)which makes competition less challenging. Tech has younger programs than UVA, with growing dominance. lol this makes me laugh. too bad UVA has 4 Lacrosse NC's and 4 Soccer NC's [just to name a few] lol but i guess that measn UVA sucks at everything huh? lol to all VT fans, congrats your a one sport school, thats all youll ever be, you wont win any NC's for football cuz you get your ass kicked when you play good teams. UVA isnt a one sport school, yet we still go 9-4 in football and happen to win NC's in many other sports. VT will never be as good as UVA overall.

yeah i kno,but does VT beat UVA in soccer and basketabll every year?didnt think so,any team can have one good year but last time i checked UVA leads VT in all but football.and plus yall dont even have a NC in ANY sport. UVA has 9 combined in just 2 sports.so STFU yall mihgt have good records in some sports but you obviously cant win anything after the regular season.and your so called power house football team alwasy loses to actual good teams[kansas,UGA,USC,LSU]win a NC THEN talk.
