Marco isnt an imbecile. In this interview, hes playing the game, he knows its just a route for daytime viewers to tap into the show hes promoting. What I like is the presenters are almost scared. But thats.....thats how marco IS. To be anything else would be being fake, contrived and pretty pointless. He does speak quietly. he does pause for a long time, hes always been that way. I would rather someone be honest about their feelings, mood, opinions etc than just lie for the cameras. Thats what makes marco great; he's honest and open and genuine. I guess I just have a long standing hatred for anything contrived or fake. I like honesty in people.

There are long silences before he is answering, and he comes across as very aloof, hence why I think this is uncomfortable. I know people want to pause for thought but he just waits too long. As for the 'I think your intimidated by him' comment, where did you get that from? I just said it was uncomfortable, so I don't know what your thought process was behind that. And finally it should be 'you're intimidated' not 'your'.

You said Marco made you feel uncomfortable, so I automatically assumed you felt intimidated. The reason he makes you cringe is maybe because of an insecurity within you, that you're not aware of or admitting to. Just listen to Marco's voice: he thinks momentarily and responds with a smile, and you have to take into account that he is the chef in 'Hell's Kitchen', so maybe he's partly playing a character. Marco is serious about his art, but he enjoys a laugh too. And stop being so pedantic!

Camera or no camera that's just the way Ramsey is and he's that way because of his passion for food and his reputation. He's not acting he's just totally frustrated working with incompetent chefs or amateur chef-wannabes like on hell's kitchen and kitchen nightmares. Marco & Ramsey deal with discipline in their own ways, but Ramsey is more explosive, whereas Marco is cool, calm and collected so you can't tell what he's thinking, which is more unnerving.
