  • Nice this guy still alive?

  • *cichlids

  • Aw... Hey little chilids are jealous ^-^

  • Tank size isn't a myth, the 1" per gallon is more what you are referring too. If the tank is too small for the fish, it will be stunted and deformed. It'll still grow for sure (maybe at a reduced rate) but it will have health problems.

  • My question is

How big of a bag would they give you for that badass?

  • i see his fins are a little nipped at, mine is the same way. (i have mine with 2 larger cichlids) i like your pleco!!!

  • Gets some sand or gravel bro.

  • @Mister86Productions

No need Breeders don't have nothing down... It prevents the eggs getting lost under the Gravel.

Gravel or sand is just there for looks. Pleco's will feed off the glass or Plec food.

  • i wish my peco could moonwalk like yours!

  • how long is the pleco?:)

  • that pleco is moon walking

  • Fantastically!

  • oooo nice pleccy :D

  • how big is he?

  • thats a good life style choce

  • Nice pleco. Those arent goldfish, they are Parrot cichlids. He probably doesnt have any plants and sub because he most likely runs a pet store that sells mostly fish. As you can tell by looking at his other videos. He has a lot of tanks. No sub. No plants... Aquarium store owner..

  • And the fish are healthy.

    Bad english (German)

    5*****

  • Your pleco is nice and your tank is clean but it's too bare, put substrate and wood for him

  • your pleco needs somewhere to chill and substrate to root around on. Good chance he'll suck the shit outa your goldies too

  • nice fish man. I thing he would enjoy some sand and some hiding places.

  • @yournamehere954 FYI pleco dont like sand the wont go to the bottom if you have sand as your substrate they barley got on to gravel the like wood and big rocks.....

  • @Krisest1994

i have 2 plecs in a 240 gallon tank that allways search through the sand , so yeah pleco's like sand , gravel isnt good for anyfish really as it can damage them , but most catfish like sand

  • GORGEOUS!!! That is one big algae eater!

  • wow you have like, transperant soil, plants and furnishings!!

  • i have a pleco and mine is mint no rips or anything

  • I had a pleco that would chase my oscar around if my oscar tried to pick on it. And would hit the oscar with her tail. They are so cute. And @megacharmeleon if I were to meet you I'd punch you in the face that's animal abuse. Nothing, other than you, should be treated that way. A-hole

  • @MegaCharmeleon

wow you douche haa i just read the same commenton another video therfore your probaaably lieing and your a totaaaaaal bitttch I LOVE PLECOS, PLECOS FTW!

  • Uh plecos are not recommended to be with goldfish .-. they also eat the slime of the goldfish and sometimes suck their eyes out

  • How long does it take them to grow that big?

  • :O woah, nice plec :)

i just bougth one toay an its about 2 inches:)

    how big is that one?

  • a pleco is the coolest fish u can have in a akvarium :P i bought to to day ^^

  • i cant wait for my pleco to get that big

hes the same color and everything

but mines a 2 inch little baby active little

    fella

  • I love your pleco and parrots but really can we get something else in that tank? It's cruel.

  • waaa!!!

    super chingon

    =O

  • Why no substrate. rocks, plants?

  • GET SOME GRAVEL OR ROCKS! plecos are awesome, like yours :D

  • aaaaah parrot attack!

  • what a boring tank - poor pleco

  • I agree, the tank also appears to be way too small.

  • i have a 7 inch pleco

  • dude its called a hifin leapord pleco there common and seriously get rocks gravel or something cause plecos especialy need that

  • what do u feed?

  • you're supposed to have rocks on the bottom of the tank. if you have no rocks then it will cause lookdown in fish

  • Are the spotted Plecs rare or something I carnt find them in any of my local pet stores ? How big do they grow ? Would a full grown one be suitable for a 165litre tank?

  • they are not normally rare... maybe your pet store is out of stock or something, because they're quite common where i am. they get to nearly 2 feet long. my guess would be that is enough, that's quite a big tank. a completely full-grown one may have trouble, but when you start out with em as babies, they should adapt fine.

  • That looks like a leopard or red sailfin pleco. So try looking up those.

  • Your pleco has serious fin rot. Aquarium salt will fix that.

  • Try feeding them boiled cabbage, or zucchini. It helps if you get a piece of driftwood too because they like to much on that. It will stain the water but not hurt the fish so don't worry if that happens. Thats assuming you have a common plec or similar species. Some plecs like Zebras have different needs for their diet. Hope this helps bro :)

  • attack of the parrot cichlids

  • no shit? u sure you arent catchin catfish?

  • haha parrots!!!!

  • man these things are all over the bayous in houston!!....you can catch them and youll get credit at a pet shop!!

  • Hey guys i just got one question why my red parrot cichlids don't have tails?

  • They're probably a certain variety of Parrot cichlids called a "blood heart" I believe. They are bred to have the appearance of a sideways heart.

  • Their tails have been cut off as fry. As they grow the tails will heal and have a natural appearance, but I can assure you they have been cut off...Usually they are called 'Valentine Parrots' or 'Flaming Heart Parrots' because this makes them heart shaped. Take good care of these fish!

  • some of them have some of them dont, it depends how people like them, without the tail it sorta looks like a heart..

  • i was going to get some red parrot cichlids

  • nice substrate.

  • y do other fish always get in the way of the camera?

  • They are hungry :P

  • do the feed off bacteria?

  • no. Food scraps.

  • dude your plecs fins are prob split if you keep your water way to clean, changing it to often to much will stress it,as will handling or netting it,or maybe other fish are nipping it,its fins shouldn't be like that

  • can plecostomus live in a 10g with 2 kissing fish???

  • No way, they grow much, much too big. Most can be in excess of 1 foot long and it is cruel to keep them in a tank too small for them to grow. The only plec like catfish I would ever consider keeping in a ten gallon tank is a bristlenose. Even they will need a 20g when full grown but this is not a huge upgrade and they are easy to rehome if it is impossible.

If you want bottom dwellers or catfish of some sort in a 10 gal, go with corydoras. You could have 6 or 7 with 2 gouramis (keep in groups).

  • will like they cleAN the left over food at the bottom and r like 5 of they better than 2 lil ruber lips?oooo anddd can a beta live with 2 kisserss and how big do they get and how much do they cost?? do they sell at petco or petsmart?

  • just get a normal chinese sucker, I have one that thrives in my 10gal, they only need 5gal.

  • why not

  • Pleco's can really live in any tank with any fish except for " Fin Nippers " and Agressive fish. If you were talking about Kissing Gourami's then you have a good choice made, But don't put a Chinese Algae Eater in there, they are very agressive. :)

  • i have chinese algae eaters with my plecos(flying foxes?) They are not aggressive at all.

  • LOL fucking ugly fishes,

    but nice catfish!

  • not a catfish similar but not the same

  • Your tank layout seems a little plain. Add some gravel or sand and maybe some plants

  • its a fish store. check out the other vids

  • in that case how much was it??

  • idk tell him

  • lol the parrots are cool

  • we have always refered to are Pleco as the monster fish, when he comes to the front of the tank my Cocker Spaniel goes mental.

  • i have two types of leopard sailfin plecos, one with dark spots and light outline like this one, and a baby one which has the colours the other way round, my big one is about 9 inches long

  • Mines about 9-10inches how longs yours?

  • they look huge on cerca but in rl there small them sucker thingies

  • stunning plec

  • that`s a nice pleco but the fins don`t look too good.i kept some of my fishes with some parrots and they byte the fins of the others.and anyway the parrots are like persona non grata in the aquarists world because of their artificial colours.all the best with yours

  • I love the spotting on it's body, I have a pleco and it's black with grey spots

  • Wow beautiful pleco and beautiful parrots

  • Is the fish there to take this video or must he rest there for the time of his life?

The other fishes are called "Red Parrot" and its a agony breed!

  • Whao! congrats man on getting one of those their rare and expensive plecos. and they get the biggest! 4' Name: Megalancistrus gigas L113

  • No that is not a L-113. Its just a sailfin pleco.

  • What IS That Other Fish... The Orange Ones? ^_^

  • i think they are the blood parrots. :)

  • beautiful fish!

  • mine seem happy in a bigger tank now yours has a spilt tail why

  • theyre pests in my place

  • How do you get them to grow so big?

  • The trick to growing a big Pleco, is it's tank size, source of algea, and your care for it. The bigger the tank, the bigger the Pleco. If it eats lots of algea, it's healthier. And if you love it, I bet it'll live longer. Love will increase the life span of any creature though, really. ^^

  • Well I only have a ten gallon so mine probably won't grow very big. :(

  • Hmm....well, I'm sure that if you take good care of him, he'll grow to a decent size. Even if he doesn't get too big, as long as he's healthy and happy, then that's all that matters. :3

  • Thank you.

  • Your welcome. ^^

  • Sorry, but FireNanaki is giving you bad advice. If your pleco is a common pleco, it will eventually put huge strain on your 10g tank because if it's huge size and bioload. By keeping it in a 10g tank, it will be stunted and it's lifespan will be shortened, not to mention problems with body shape. A fish that big in such a small tank becomes very stressed, making it more susceptible to disease, which puts all your fish at risk. The myth fish only grow to the tank size is just that, a myth.

  • He is only about 2 inches. I sure he will be fine. I give him algae chips every night.

  • When he gets older, he certainly won't be fine, I can promise you that. I suggest you try a smaller species of pleco, such as clown, bristlenose, or bulldog. They stay rather small, and will be a much better fit for your tank.

  • he will be fine for now probably for a few years but then u might have to get a bigger tank/1#

  • Tank size is a myth; Its all about filtration, water changes and food, (no algae chips either). Mine is 19" in a small tank. See him by clicking on my account name.

  • @PlecoPlace It is true that filtration and water changes are more important then tank size. But is definetly not a myth, a fish that doesnt have enough room to swim will look that he is compensating this by staying smaller but that is the biggest myth around his organs keep growing, his fins stay smaller and eventually even his eyes will start becoming double the normal size.

If you want to keep this beautifull fish then make sure you have the room for it.

We dont lock you up in a small room...

  • @PlecoPlace becuase you cheated and bought him that size from someone that didnt need him anymore

  • kodee sansome is a fish

  • Wow thats one big pleco!
