It didn't matter when half a year before Italy attacked and annexed Albania in a same matter. The whole China(the territory as we know as China nowadays consisted as many countries) vs Japan in 1936 didn't matter either. The attacking and annexing of Ethiopia in 1936 didn't matter either.
