Hey Miami, nice to see your plane flew very well ... except for the whole sign thing lol priceless. Yours definitely flew better then ours (West Virginia) as you saw that night at the other flying field when ours went into a flat spin landing in front of a bull. lmao our video will be up in a week or so. cya in Wichita next year
Yeah, We (Auburn) had just finished rebuilding our aircraft after our second crash, but we were still having some Transmitter/Receiver issues, and with only 25 minutes left, and an endless flight line, it was already to late for a 3rd attempt. Congratulations on the successful flight, the immaculate aim of your pilot, and on making it to Tuscon. Hope to see you all next year!
One thing for certain, the Gophers were not the only thing burrowing holes in that field this past weekend!
This was our first year as an organization and at DBF, we will be better prepared for the details next year and hopefully do great. It is important to clarify that this crash was not, in any way, intentional. We just wanted to see it fly after 3 months of hard work, repairs will be made and it will be used to recruit members for next year's competition ! Thanks for your support!
Getting to the DBF is not easy. Nothing worth while ever is. You guys made a good effort and should be proud. It looks like your pilot had everything well under control but I don't think you could have flown into that sign if you wanted to. That was just too perfect. See you in Wichita.
