Not that constructing a robot Kong makes a coughed-up ape furball's worth of sense, but Mechani-Kong does make the film.

King Kong Escapes came about because the rip off artist of UPA were infringing on copy written ideas Universal owned (giant octopus, power from thunderstorms), with racist results. So heavy Republican studio Universal were policing there ORIGINAL HEAVYWEIGHT KING KONG.....

Ironic, the US adopts Godzilla (One of Japan's national monsters) as it's own (Yes the japanese Godzilla also attacked New York in Destroy All Monsters), and Japan adopts King Kong (One of the US's national monsters) as one of it's national monsters

@Themaniacnextdoor Yeah. Gorosaurus' agent invoked an old clause in Kong's contract specifying that he had to have at least one on-screen fight with a bipedal carnivorous dinosaur per film. Hollywood is so full of politics.

The monster battles were pretty good here. Should have had kong fight one of those gargantua monsters in a movie.

Watched this as a kid and son loves it now. Worth it for Robot King Kong and especially for Linda Miller who is a friggin HOTTIE! I'd "pick her up" too :)

I love Dr. Who, or is it Dr. Hu?. He's one of the best villians in any kaiju film - he cold blooded killed the old native on Mondo Island for no reason and was going to disfigure Susan's face on the ice.

@67mrblack chill lol, it's just not professional equipment... it's forgivable. In studios they use a guard (looks like a spandex net) that actually muffles the p sound. It's a review for "King Kong Escapes" not a pop recording lol
