Many religions (not just Christianity) believe God introduced sex to man to pro-create and raise families. In a same sex marriage, a couple CANNOT pro-create...so it's not the same thing.  Once you take sex outside of the traditional marriage, you get abortion, orphans, illegitimate kids, same sex marriage, etc. and a breakdown of the family unit.

This guy tries to use a non-sequitur by stating that all cultures have historically defined marriage as between a man and a woman. So? All cultures have embraced slavery. Does that mean we should make it legal?

Where in the Bible does it say: "Do what all the other cultures are doing"?

There's nothing in the Bible that says: "Make sure church and state are united and enforce religious laws on other people." I missed that verse.

But whatever, this guy just does what it takes to fundraise.

History also defined within a marriage where the wife was not an equal to her husband and the wife remained a second class person within a marriage for more than 2,500 years. If my husband treated me like a 2nd class wife his ass would be out the door, screw history. Show me the HISTORICAL facts where it says two people of the same sex cannot marry! I don't want to hear about any man made bible quotes., I want actual documented proof of historical laws that actually forbids same sex marriage.

Anti choice protesters (at the moment a troll called "abortionkillsbabies") clone my account and use the clone accounts to argue their cause and insult people (including abusing a rape victim after she pleaded to be left alone), in my name, on various vids and channels. every time I see they did this, I post this paragraph, on several channels, so that a) people realise not to assume the offensive comments hail from me, and b) to undo any propaganda aims they might hope to achieve.

Does anyone know were I can get a good ad blocker for Firefox. When I can't watch a video from cnatv without an ad for a all gay cruise on the upper right side of my computer screen it is time for an ad blocker.

Never mind I will Google it. Maybe not Google. They are the one who put the blasted ad on my screen to start with.

You get the ads based on your search criteria on youtube. Stop searching on 'gay' and you will quit getting those ads. Unless you want to see gay videos and ads for gay cruises, then search all you want. When you search on 'gay' yo are telling Google or Youtube or whatever that is what you are interested in, and it gives you ads related to your interests.

This wasn't an interview - Dr. Haas asked a loaded question, the Archbishop provided a well-rehearsed answer. A real interview should have probed the answer: HOW this ordinance might do what the Archbishop claims it might; WHAT specific conscience protections are desired by the Church; WHAT tangible impact will the law have on the Church's charitable mission; WHY does the Council oppose those amendments?
