Steven Drozd got me and a friend into this show for free (all 3 days!). I saw them at the 40 Watt in Athens when they were touring for The Soft Bulletin but the Echo weekend solidified my lifelong fandom lol. Amazing band, amazing music, amazing SHOW!!
I was tripping HARD at the les claypool stage when I saw the balloons fly and ran over to this stage to see my first flaming lips show. I felt that i'd missed out on something my entire life and that things would be much better from here on out :) Thanks for posting this!
I live in asheville nc, you should go see tea leaf green tomorrow night at the orange peel.. but you'll probably get this too late and will miss it.. :/
I live about a two hours drive from Asheville but I've heard good things about The Orange Peel and have seen some good bands listed as performing there. Thanks for the band recommendation though, I'll look into them.

People know what to expect out of Wayne so him talking about politics is normal and anyone who doesn't appreciate his views doesn't need to go to their shows. What the hell do you think the songs are about dumbass?
I was smoking a cigarette during one of the songs and a balloon came down on it and popped. Scared the dog shit out of me and blew my fucking mind!! Haha
Omg I remember this shit. This was the funnest concert of my life, because I was trippin fucking nuts! I was smack in the middle of the crowd behind the kid with the huge green laser, you remember that thing? LOL! Fun shit! Echo4life!
