It's great music. My mom is very passionate about opera and classical music. I appreciate it,  But I don't find it engaging the way she dose unless I get to see it live, then I really like it.

Pears's singing is much more appropriate for this Handel than "robust American singing" would be! Such style and phrasing!

Thank you very much for putting this beautiful music on line. There are very few pieces of Handel's music that I haven't loved. I can't say that I love Peter Pears singing. It is very English in style and phonation and appropriate for his time. I freely admit my bias for more robust American singing but then I'm a lyric tenor trained and raised in America. Bias admitted, I just think this music sounds so much more lively when sung with more strength throughout the line!
