  • If you want to know what it is that Wayne did to the Thing, I suggest you google ev blue Wayne Alexander. He answers all sorts of questions there.

  • use glasses !!!

  • I applaud your efforts and wish you continued success.

  • Ubercool!! :-)

  • Soon there will be more of these shops opening up (maybe even franchises) so when your engine blows it might be cheaper to just convert than to rebuild.

  • Hey, I'm thinking of converting my 1994 Mazda Miata to electric. I thought i'd use 10, 12volt deep cycle batteries, but i've heard that I might get much less range with a setup like that. possibly as low as 25 miles per charge. what kid of setup would you recommend? (I wanted to try and go for a 120 volt system, but that may be unnecessary for a miata)

  • nice welding mask! =] haha

  • yeah I went and saw him a few days ago and he still hasn't invested in one!

  • He is probably blind by now :-(

  • I am looking to do old muscle car vette r trans am converted to EV , what do I need to do, how much costs? I want really powerfull elctric motor, and beable to make 100 miles at least. Any help?

  • This guy is a real American Hero! The big 3 auto makers deserve the end of their life cycle. They could have had EVs on the market years ago. But instead they keep us on gas sending tons of money to the middle east to people who want to kill us! Maybe the oil companies can bail out GM, FORD and Chrysler.

  • Hi I'm very interested in electric cars since I saw this video. I own a 62 vw bug and I would like to know what type of motor was installed into the vw thing. looks like a motor warP9 or warP11...I don't know but if it makes my bug to run near 100mph I will love it.

    Any help! thanks!

  • I used an Impulse 9 for my VW based kit car.

    Good luck with your conversion.

  • I'm about to take delivery on a Datsun 620 EV and plan on having another truck or Geo Metro done. It'd be nice if there were tax incentives available for conversions like there are tax breaks on buying new ones. Save a used vehicle and the planet's resources & make it run pollution-free! (And help lots of conversion folks start their own businesses)

  • Way to go dude!

  • better watch yourself mate. The reason society doesn't use electric cars is because wealthy oil companies will go broke and politicians will then be broke without their sponsors.

best to do it all underground before the electric revolution

    comes!! and its coming now!

  • Go Wayne! You're a legend mate!

  • Thanks for asking questions, I'm always glad to answer what I can about conversions. Thanks, too, to the person who posted the video, bringing Ev's to attention.

I've heard the average is around 18 miles per day but who knows?

I'd rather the customer provide the vehicle but will make suggestions what ones are best to do.

The more conversions on the road, the more people see them. The ones I make are a lot more affordable than the new hybrids and a great deal of fun to drive.

  • What's the name of this shop? I live near Kansas.

  • It's called EV-Blue (dot com) you can find a link to this shop any many more at EVtransPortal

    (dot com)

  • Where is that guys safety gear; welding mask?

  • i thought the national ave. was like 29 miles a day. it's cool what you're doing, do you buy, convert, and re-sell the cars or do people bring you theirs to convert? do you convert more than "left-coast conversions" in CA?

  • @imacrazydude9999999 He converts the cars people bring to him.

  • right on man im with all the way! convert my van!
