TV performances are always mixed like absolute crap. If any of you remember Arsenio Hall, that cat had the only decent translation of live music to televison. Every other venue, letterman, SNL, leno, conan, ferguson, fallon, carson, etc, it is always hit or more likely miss. They just dont know how to make it work in the mixing for tv broadcast.

It's a great song. The vocals are a la Cure, the bass is a la New Order, and the mix is a la LCD Soundsystem. The studio version sounds a little better though... the guitar and echo are a little out of sync and the cowbell is obtrusive (on the album, it's much more integrated).
