I sat next to this kid for a whole semster in marketing and had no clue who he was until the last day (which I only discovered via youtube at that). Weird world isn't it
Damn right they did! Traditional Irish Music that is 150 to 500 years old contains fiddle "riffs" that sound remarkably like the stuff Eddie Van Halen and Randy Rhoads played in the 80's with their electric guitars. It's all in the triplets.
hey, shaka04, that's the best answer i ever heard! there's no doubt that antonio is a great violinist. and you can't really compare a guitar and a violin, because many more people get very good at the guitar than on the violin. you know, guitar is the "cool" instrument. not when you've seen antonio
his improvisation sounds pretty average compared to most good guitarists and hes playing such similar licks. and on top of that most of his solos sound identical. i think hes a good singer and a good violinist but im not so sure he deserves such huge credit. there was guys doing this way before him and here everyone is calling him a revolutionist. i like that he took the initiative to learn to improvise when many violinists wouldnt but hes very over rated. hes great for 15 however.
This is special! He has great improvisation skills and is also an electrifying performer! We need more artists who have this kind of passion and artistry in their playing!
well I have to say, he did improove a lot from last video... but still some problems with the bow... he should use more the wrist... if you notice he doesnt use the wrist at all... if he would start playing the motto perpetuo he would finish it with a huge pain in this neck because he isnt using the wrist.
Jesus Christ man. Why aren't you in his shoes then? Why isn't that you up there and with a huge following? Jealousy is the problem. Still, you sit behind your computer screen and tap out this rubbish you write. It's a shame that you have to try and put down pure talent and you're the type of person who's fault it is that we have crappy tarty pop bands and computerized hip-hop.
I dont think so, you can ask any violinist from any professional orchestra and they will all tell you the same. Even David Garrett uses the wrist and he plays classic and contemporary music as Pontarelli. Im not saying its bad but it should be using the wrist. Its just an advice not putting down pure talent as Shaka04 said, Im a teacher and as well violinist (classical & contemporary arrangements for Metallica, Limp Bizkit, and such). This kid has talent, Im just suggesting the use of the wrist.
WOW! Antonio is unbelievable! How refreshing to find this kind of talent and musicality in the marketplace out there! He is definately someone to keep you eye on!
God damn!
