@larasa007 Don't compare a HD Ultra Classic with this BMW K1600GT. It's a totally different bike and this comparison doesn't make any sense at all. Unlike the BMW a HD drives old-fashioned with no horses whatsoever. I drove the BMW on the German Autobahn a whole day with 120+ mph average. Try that with a HD ;-)
I just ordered my 1600 GTL a few days ago, but it wont arrive until January 2012. It's already getting hard to wait for it. This bike is amazing and I think it's the best thing BMW has done in years.
Although I ride a Harley Davidson, Road King, I can easily say this bike would be a better cross country ride. I've traveled a lot of miles on my HD, and it an extremely comfortable ride, but I test drove one of these babies & it was BUTTER! Very sweet ride.......the I rode had the back rest with extra pack, but I'm sure it's the same bike. (1600cc 6 cyl). Wow!
@ludig7 are you going to tell me that you can put on the same amount of miles on a BMW that you can on a Harley? I have neighbor that has Ultra Classic HD drove from state to state in relatively short time. this bike (BMW ) is nice but with those stock seats you would need an iron butt. to go coast to coast on it.
Sex on wheels.... A real beauty, I've had a few BMW's- 1150 Adventure- 1200 Adventure I've been saving my penny's for a new RT but fell in love with the new 1600 GT. So I'm setting my sights on it..

Its frontal appearance resembles an Aprilia RST1000 Futura, I like it.
Hopefully it offers generous accommodations for the long-legged rider without bashing into odd bits of tank and/or fairing the way many BMWs seem to.
