That guy was pretty funny, though I've never touched this game really... The idea of roleplaying in person is a bit strange to me, though I've online RP'd in games and mods.
@mitch13815 'Your' - try that one again grammar-wise. Also, the assumption that I have no imagination merely because I don't want to sit around a table with a bunch of grown men throwing their voices to sound like wizards and ghouls is a gross under-estimation of what constitutes as a good imagination.
You are pathetic, don't even bother trying to form a reply. Just go hang yourself with a belt and have a nice day.

@bvbob1 Funny thing was, instead of trying to convince me of the games merits he just overlooked my point and made me out to be close-minded and a 'fag'. He is a retard. But between us, I just feel somewhat uncomfortable throwing my voice to sound like an elf to another grown man.
@arkhamisland I'll give it a shot. One of the great things about roleplaying this way, is that not only can you sit at the table with your current friends, but you can make new ones rather easily. Believe it or not, there's not a lot of difference between what you would type online and sitting at the table, playing live. And, the best part is, you don't have to make up a voice if you choose not to. Most of my players generally don't, and we still have a great time. Email me if you want.
@arkhamisland It's really up to you. The game suggests a group with 1 DM and 4-5 players. My group is 3 married couples, and 2 other friends, with one of us running a game (We switch games/worlds/genres from time to time). They used to make products for 1 DM and 1 player as well. To my mind, it's best if you play with a DM and 4-6, so that you have more than one point of view, and style of play. Some people do want to act, some just want that thrill of "killing" something.
So is the the DM just winging it or does he have a pretty good outline for the story or something? If not how the hell does he remember all the bs he's spouting. (Don't know how pnp rpg's work)
@tnus3 He has a DM guidebook that outlines whats supposed to happen, but all DMs usually tweak the story a little, adding dialouge or maybe a hidden item like a potion, a jem or food. Some DMs even make up the whole story from scratch, but not this guy, I have the book he's reading from. :3
@kansaikanadian As Chris likes to say a lot, I cut my teeth on the Red Box way back in the good ol' days; however, I've been utterly absorbed with MMOs for the past 10 years and now regret every single minute I spent in those games.
